My friend and I played El Dorado on Wednesday April 27. It rained early AM BUT this course drains well. Very little of the water stayed on the course but it was "CPO" which is a good idea. I am really impressed with the condition of the fairways and the greens--immaculate. There was little activity on Wednesday so we assumed the crowds figured the course would be very wet or closed. I rate the course and the facilities as 4 Stars. Not 5. I feel that with the recent floods and downturn in the economy of the Houston area, that $40 Senior price was too high especially for a Municipal course. One can assume that most Muny courses will usually be a some discount to private day courses i.e. compare to the equivalent course on westside of Space City--Cinco Ranch which I played 2 weeks ago for $38.00. It was in great shape. In summary. Loved El Dorado and I will play it again this week. I hope our "dry spell" holds off for a while because the El Dorado has such beauty and terrain...its tops in my view for a day fee course....

Had a blast on the LaQuinta golf course. Was much better than most of the courses where I live. Course conditions were great. Rate of play was good, but there was some waiting, nothing terrible though. Only complaint is a big one. My group of 4 walked up from driving range onto first tee at 11:53 with an 11:52 tee time. The starter then proceeded to be excessively rude and snarky about being late, then raised his voice very loud to tell my group "dont you ever bring a cooler out here again." Apparently having a cooler to keep the drinks purchased from the course isnt allowed, except for the fact another starter stated that the snarky employee wasnt even supposed to be working the tee box as a starter....so that whole ordeal was strange. Probably shouldnt treat customers who drove 2 1/2 hours to play your course like that. Very much wanted to make the trip for El Dorado, but probably not after being treated that way by the off-duty starter.

First to say that the El Dorado is a championship level course is an overstatement at best. I would classify the course as well below average. Greens white in areas chunky and pitted. Carts are ancient and dirty. Also be warned that there is evidently a regular group on Tuesdays at 12:00 that has three groups of FIVE. Not only are they slow. You cant play through. Also note my picture of these idiots parking their carts on the fringe of the green. I called the clubhouse to get the martial out there and he said "oh we know its the NOON GAME" I guess the noon game doesnt follow etiquette. $42 for this course is laughable. I wouldnt pay $4.20 to play this goat ranch again.

Was treated like a total jerk by the clubhouse after being rained out after six holes. Literally had the clubhouse arguing with players that rain checks would not be issued. Was shocked how the people engaged with me in the club, even the club manager pushed back on why they did not owe. Eventually sent me a 9 hole credit, which is somewhere in the trash. Facility is cool, driving range is not. People will cause me to never, ever return.

Played the El Dorado course and like the layout. Surprised that after all the rain it already has some fairways burning. The greens, especially front nine had weeds in the greens. Not many chances to get water on a course in Texas. Turn not at club house. Pro shop workers very nice. Price not bad. With a little TLC could be very nice.

I always enjoy my golf outing at either of the golf courses, be it La Quinta or Eldorado. The course layouts can be challenging yet accommodating with great greens. The 19th hole ties the whole experience beautifully together, very clean, well furnished with flat screen TVs and yes, the food is incredible. Two thumbs up.

Beautiful course.... had a lot of fun here. My only complaint would be that the guy that checked us in was pretty rude and pushy. However, we came across the marshall multiple times during play, and he was nothing but accommodating and pleasant. We will come back... just dont look forward to that one guy.

Course is good. However, the black gentlemen at the counter always complains about the cheaper rate we pay through golf now. He always gives me a hard time checking in. I.e. My confirmation is not in the system. Therefore we cant play. Even after I showed him my I phone confirmation and paid in full. He

Two nice courses. Can get good deals on green fees sometimes too. But always check with the pro shop to see what theyve got going on any given day. It can get very crowded and play can get super slow.

Both courses are challenging and enjoyable. The pro shop staff were helpful and friendly. Overall I highly recommend this facility if youre looking for a fun, strategic round of golf

Never been here...had perfect weather and the course (La Quinta) was challenging...especially to a novice golfer as myself. Clubhouse is fabulous, though. Ill be back.

Today was my first time at El Dorado Golf Course. I would say this golf course is Great and well maintained. I will come back again.

Two good courses. I thought El Dorado was more memorable than La Quinta, but I enjoyed both of them. Great prices for the quality.
