First off, who writes a bad review for a place they have never even been? That isnt right. I hope others will read the great reviews from people who love going there - like us! Weve been to San Martino many times. My only regret is that we didnt find it sooner. Its a perfect date night spot. The property is beautiful. There is lots of comfortable seating outdoors, including two covered patios. We love taking some food out there and enjoying their wine while sitting out on the patio. The staff is excellent. They make us feel right at home and greet us the minute we walk in. Its a quiet place where you can relax after a long work week. We enjoy their reds, including the Tempranillo and the Alacante. Its best to do a tasting at the tasting area first to decide what you are in the mood for and depending on what food you have brought with you. Their special events are a lot of fun. We had a paella dinner one time that was absolutely delicious. San Martino is one of our favorite little gems in the area and I encourage people to try for themselves.

This is NOT the welcoming family business it is portrayed to be, and if you are not one of the preferred customers your likely not to get any attention. Actually, the girl at the bar has always taken care of us,and she served us with professionalism and kindness. In fact, she’s the only one who’s ever served us! I’ve seen the owner serve drinks, and food to his preferred customers many times and when I ask if there serving food the answer is no. Unfortunately, I’ve realized that if you are not one his preferred customers he will do little to make your visit pleasant. In fact I’ve felt many times that my guests and I are interrupting his party. I understand he is the owner and they are his guests but someone needs to remind him we are all there as his guests. What really disturbed me, is watching how the owner treats the staff, I come to find out the staff is actually his wife and daughter. It truly is a sad situation to witness. Obviously, if your not one of his VIP’s it doesn’t matter who you are.

Went to Fredericksburg Tx. last summer and toured 3 different wineries. Unbelievable, friendly customer service at all stops. Last week we toured a winery in New Mexico. Again, the customer service was outstanding. Last weekend, we thought about visiting San Martino. However we thought back to our one and only visit a couple of years ago. On that visit, when we walked in, the women behind the counter looked at us as if we were riff-raff. Never said "welcome", "come right in" or anything that would make us feel welcome.. There were some people there that seemed to warrant all of her attention. We stood there for about a minute, and decided it was time to leave. That memory was enough for us to decide it wasnt worth the time.

I havent visit this location yet. Kinda scared to, considering the past remarks and stars. Im 44 yrs old & want to try the wines they are producing. My mother always said to try thing out for yourself before you can consider it... Today, May 21, 2016 and I would like to visit the winery since they are having a live band or singer there today. I reckon I will. May 21 at 6 pm. Music with Mark Glasmire. Mark never disappoints. Come and join us for music and relax with a glass or bottle of our wine. You are welcome to bring a picnic basket and enjoy our grounds during the concerts. No other drinks are allowed! Water, sodas and wine can be purchased at the bar. Reservations are not Required.

Horrible experience! Walked in on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm for a birthday wine tasting w/ three others. We were all treated as if we were not "good enough" to be there since we were not "members". We all decided to sit on the patio to enjoy the nice weather and were quickly kicked out of our seating area since we were not "members". There was literally NOT ONE other person sitting in the patio area, yet they treated us as if they had a long line of people waiting to sit there. Definitely WILL NOT be back! Dont waste your time or money on this unfriendly, rude environment unless you are already a "member" before ever walking in the front door!!!

Passionate wine makers with great wines. Special food functions always hit the mark. Wonderful get-a-way to relax, and enjoy a glass of wine. Yes, online ratings can provide an idea of what you might expect. They can also keep you from enjoying new experiences. Its wrong when people post ratings and have not even been to the location. And even worse when people use those comments to make decisions. Weve been there numerous times when the winery was busy, new customers had many questions, and were politely and patiently taken care of. The San Martino team care about your getting to know and enjoy wine.

WILL NOT RETURN. The attitude given by manger is that it is a bother to help customers find a wine they like. His life would be more pleasant if we were not there "bothering" him. They offered us a sip of a few wines to taste and then charged us $8 per person. We were not aware that it was an "official" tasting. We ordered a cheese tray which was an absolute joke with 5 slices of cheese and 4 pieces of cheap coldcuts. Upon leaving we noticed that his "favorite" customers had a much nicer cheese tray as well as crackers. Do NOT waste your time going here for such rude and inappropriate treatment.

The grounds itself I loved, and I loved the idea and the location. But the service was not helpful at all. I have been a wine lover for years, so when it was time for me to find a venue for my wedding I really wanted to find a winery. This place seemed to have the perfect location and would be great for pictures. Unfortunately, they never got back to me. I went up there, called, and emailed with zero luck. When I drove an hour there they told me to call later, and the lady was not welcoming at all. I will not be going back there.

San Martino Winery is a great place to sit, relax and enjoy a glass of wine with friends. The dinners are fabulous and fill up quick so if you want to attend a dinner do not wait-sign up FAST! The staff has always been great to us and make every effort to have happy guests. In reading other posts who find the staff unhelpful, understand that you dont just sit down and expect to be waited on-with a very limited staff servicing the counter, you must make your purchase at the bar.

To be honest, I drive past this place twice a day and keep saying Ill go because it looks really great from the outside. Since some friends were recently talking about going, I decided to look up reviews. Well, its kinda sad to see people rate a place with one star after their first comment is, "I havent actually been there". So Ive decided to give a 5 star to help cancel that review out. However, Im pretty honest with my ratings and will update soon after going.
