The Poop Deck was a blast when we visited while on vacation. The crazy nautical decor, friendly bartenders, wonderful view of the ocean, potential for people-watching and comfy dive bar atmosphere was very enjoyable. The drinks were well priced and I never wanted for anything, even as business picked up throughout the duration of my visit. Theres an ATM inside, a jukebox with a good selection of tunes, the balcony is wonderful, and the bathrooms were clean. A dive bar, right by the water. Im definitely going back next time Im in Galveston!

Took the dogs with us on a day trip to Galveston, found out that most of the restaurants wont let you have your dogs with you while you eat. Stopped at the Poop Deck for some shade to let the dogs cool down, bartender went above and beyond, brought us ice water for the dogs and snacks for us. Ended up spending the entire day here, amazing service. I cant recommend this place highly enough.

Ive been a patron of the Poop Deck for 26years. I love this bar. My only problem is that it usually doesnt open on time and shortly after I brought this up to the bar tender the manager came up to me and angrily told me it was none of my business when they opened. But its still my favourite bar.

I remember the Poop Deck not so long ago. It was not what it is now. The last three times I have been there I have never seen so many nasty people. Unfriendly. Ugly. Druggy people and losers. Not much worse to find, even in Galveston.

This place is the best dive bar in all of Galveston. AWESOME waitress and great people. I was sceptical, but this is a great place to experience local flavor. There is a great view of the Gulf and Pleasure Pier. I will definitely be back.

Ordered a Bud light , it was room temperature. Ordered margarita on the rocks for my girl , it was triple sec and lime juice, No tequila. Unless youre a local or regular they dont acknowledge you...music sound system was terrible.

Best dive bar in Galveston! Excellent people watching out onto the Seawall, and always some interesting characters inside as well. A must-visit if youre in the mood for a drink in Galveston. (Great Bloody Marys, too.)

Great views from the upper deck, reasonable drink prices, laid back biker bar. Pool table rolls east, balls are too dirty for much action. Great music in the 60s and 70s genre of real rock and roll.
