I do not see how this place got 4.5 out of 5 when this review was written. The back nine is in good shape but the front nine is horrible! The front 9 combared to the back 9 is night and day! Over grown grass throughout course. Bunkers throughout course consist of no sand, dried mud/clay type material; some bunkers had 3 ft weeds growing in them. Im just glad the greens were in good shape. I did like the range. Overall I do not think it was worth $42 (weekend rate). I think with the condition its in, $30 to $35 is reasonable. This course has potential and with it being the only course in Floresville, it should be in better condition. Not worth the drive from San Antonio for me. I typically play the municipal courses in SA. Staff was friendly and facilities were clean.

I can play a municipal course in Upstate New York for $11 during the week and get better quality. "Bunkers" (really just dry mud) with high grass in them, fairways that had dirt patches, tee areas where the grass around the teeboxes was shorter than the actual teebox. Only thing this course had going for it was that the greens were in nice shape and held well struck shots. There are better options in the area around San Antonio for a better price, and they come with better conditions and frankly much more fun.

The course was enjoyable and mostly kept up but some areas needed attention. A few times I was hitting off of hard dirt in the fairway, some areas next to the greens had patches of weeds, etc. Overall, still a fun course that I would play again.

Played in Feb 2017 so weather was not charming, and the course itself was not yet "coming in" for the season. Greens were superb though. Some of the best Ive ever putted on.

Great walkable course design. When there is a prevailing wind, the course can show its teeth and will bite you.
