Played this course today. If Im just judging the course, I give it 5 stars. Really fun and challenging. However, we ran into about 5 different 5-somes that were completely oblivious to people being behind them. There was no Marshall monitoring the pace of play and it made the round absolutely miserable. The cart girl went home around 4 and we didnt see her at all after the 7th hole. We quit with four holes left because there was a stack up of two 5-some on the tee box with another 5-some on the green. Im leaving with a bad taste in my mouth, but it has nothing to do with the course itself.

Cedar Crest is a Great course. This was the first time I had been in 10 years since moving to Ft Worth side of DFW. . I was completely blown away at the shape the course - It was fantastic. The fairways were nice and green, the greens were very good. The sand traps varied at times - most were decent enough and thankfully I only had to go to the beach once! The Staff was friendly and helpful. I HIGHLY recommend everyone plan a outing at this great course. The layout is nice and the course has so much history.

Was concerned after seeing nearby neighborhoods, but turned out to nestled in fairly nice area. For the price, an exceptionally nice and well maintained course. Challenging, but not too advanced to be enjoyed by the high handicapper. Greens and fairways in excellent condition, and the staff was friendly. Id highly recommend this course to anyone looking to not spend a fortune on greens fees, but still have a pleasant experience on a scenic, well kept course.

This is a great course but the play is ridiculously slow. Played it 10+ times and have never gotten out in under 5 hours. Most of the time it is closer to 6 hours. Not much golf etiquette from the other golfers either. I truly enjoy the course but the wait makes it almost not worth it. Also, no cart girls so stock up before you head out. I recommend Stevens Park if you want a better experience but not necessarily a better course.

Ive always enjoyed playing Cedar Crest, love the layout and the staff are usually great, in fact its the Dallas course I have played the most. But right now the greens are in terrible condition. I just played the course this past Saturday 6/6/15 with a group, and we all agreed we will not play there again unless the greens are fixed. Shame the city is not taking care of the greens of this nice course.

One of my goto courses in Dallas. Cedar Crest is a lovely golf course in a not so lovely part of Dallas. Greens are hit or miss due to well documented problems with drainage. They have a great space for driving range practice, and a good sized putting/chipping area. Despite the drainage, and the neighborhood this is a great option for those of us not on a country club budget.

Since its renovation, Cedar Crest is one of the best golf deals in the Dallas area. A great layout and usually in excellent shape, yet you can play it on the weekends for under $30. Pace of play does tend to drag a bit, so AM tee times are your best bet before the course gets busy. Also a bit inconveniently located, so not the best choice for an impromptu weekday round.

Cedar Crest is a classic old course with a storied history in south Dallas. There are wide fairways and deep ravines with some great old trees and some nice views of the Dallas skyline. The Marshall was a happy guy that seemed to enjoy our attempts at trying to get on the greens as much as we did. The staff at the clubhouse was very nice, too.

The New design of the original layout is great!!It has very challenging Green complexes, as some greenside bunkers are penal, Greens have a very different look on some, expanded size, undulations, and overall good. Will surely look to see this track again this coming spring!! Kudos to the staff, and Ira A. Mcgraw Jr.!! It will only get better!

Wow! I am from Ft. Worth and must say this was an extremely fun round. It had a country club feel. Whoever is running the show here deserves a pat on the back and a raise. Only draw back, and I dont know how old the greens are, but they need softened up for as small as they are.

This place is great. Played my first round of golf here. And got my first par on the same day! Good course. Clean and well maintained. Which surprised me because of the part of town its in. Definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to have a good round of golf.

Solid support staff and in quite good condition for a muni track. The greens are a little hard and overgrown, but keeps things consistent. A midday round during the week took about 4 hours and 15 minutes with a fivesome in front of us.

By far the best of the City of Dallas public courses..always in very good shape..as much play as it gets...lots of elevations changes.. good view of the city on 16th hole. Always fun to play here.

Home course for my high school golf team. A fairly easy course to play, but will punish you if you lose your focus. Extremely reasonable for the price, and the greens have just been replaced!

Not often you get to play on a course that hosted a major no matter how long ago. Excellent layout very good condition. Enough variety you cant get bored. Look forward to returning.

Great course with lots of dallas history. Rolling fairways. Great view of downtown. Terrific brand new greens for a reasonable rate. One of my favorites in dallas.

Golfed on June 7, 2015. Course is unplayable - they have lost their greens ! Totally disappointing what theyve allowed to happen to an otherwise interesting layout.

Their senior rate is age 60; but the PGA recognizes seniors as age 50 or 55. Not worth the extra funds; play Mansfield as they consider seniors at age 55.
