Dont waste your time, money, or energy on this place. I used to enjoy going to this course with a buddy who was a member (of Arnold Palmer club) pretty often. It was a nice round for around $40. Last year it came under new management and everything just got to absolute hell. The course looked like it hadnt seen any kind of care or maintenance for a year. Everything was dried up and dead, the greens were brown, the water brown and putrid, the tee boxes mangled and all sand, fairways were hard as concrete with no green grass in sight, crab grass and other nasty greenery all over the place. When we walked in to the pro shop to get started, we were met with one of the rudest people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. He was short and only made very snide comments. I will never return to this golf course and if you were smart, you wouldnt waste any time here either. This place should simply close their doors and give up - what an absolute mess.

Ive played at Longwood quite a few times over the last 3 years. Initially i thought it was pretty good but it continues to decline on the course which really is a shame. Most recently played the Post and Pine 9s and the condition of the course is terrible from tee to green. It looks as if it has sustained serious drought for months and months but the weather in Houston has been the complete opposite so its hard to understand whats going on. If i was a paying member here id be very upset with the condition. The overall setup with the three-9s, range, putting and chipping greens is great so it really is a shame to see the place like it currently is. The course itself, when in decent condition, provides a good test for every level of golfer and requires a good amount of shot shaping both ways.

since retirement, I routinely play 3 rounds of golf at different golf courses every week. Longwood is my favor course, they claim they have the best loyalty membership deal in town, and surely it is, as a loyalty member there, I get breakfast, lunch and 2 drinks, and the three 9 holes layout is interesting and challenge, and the conditions is good and slowly improving. We play every Friday morning here, their Friday rate is the same as other weekday rates, not like other course, Friday always considered weekend rate. I highly recommend to joint their loyalty membership, it is truly the best in town.

Played yesterday for the first time in about a year. I figured with the recent rain the course would be in better shape, but the course was still in horrible condition. Tees, fairways, greens, and bunkers were all in awful shape. Complete waste of money and time. Stay away! Follow up (11/22/15): The HAGA Tournament that was initially scheduled for Cypress Lakes was moved to Longwood, so I played the course again. It is in the same condition. Possibly worse. Truly is a shame.

Longwood Golf Club has always been a second home to me. The course is in better shape than Ive seen it in a very long while. The staff in the Pro Shop and in the Grill as well as the management has always been friendly and inviting every time I step onto the establishment. I will forever look forward to my experiences there and a part of my history will always be with them.

The people in the club house were nice and helpful. The marshalls were great. As for the course, the greens and fairways were terrible. This would be a great course if they would invest money to maintain it. The price wasnt bad, but if you are a serious golfer then you are looking for a well maintained course.

I really enjoyed playing there today. The course was in great shape, and it is a fantastic value at $34. Even though the bar staff was not very nice and the pro shop personnel were not "outsider" oriented. Members and employees alike were very polite on the course, though. I will definitely return.

Awesome club, three well maintained courses, driving range and a putting area. The lounge and pros-shop have everything you need. Watch out for the first hole on the post-oak course, lots of water hazards, but after that its a blast.

this is the worst golf course I have ever played....smelled terrible. horrible conditions on every hole. bunkers were full of mud, not sand. fairways had not been cut, greens were brown - just brutal.

The course itself is enjoyable and challenging to play and was maintained well for the times Ive played there. What makes the experience suck is the complete lack of customer service in the pro shop.

I hope the new ownership works to improve the greens and fairways. This was at one time one of the best courses in Houston, I hope the new owners restore this course to its former status.

I found the course to be a good play. The bunkers, greens and fairways were all in good shape and for the price, it was well worth it. I plan on coming back whenever I can.

Beautiful course, enjoyed every hole. My favorite course in the houston area for the green fees. Food is a limited selection, but what they have was delicious .

Horrible tee time stacking! 5-6 hour rounds no matter when. Great track, 8 minutes between tee times leads to long wait at every box

Good layout. Greens leave alot to be desired. They over crowd the course so there are long waits during your round.

Challenging tree lined course. Course is in good shape. Beware 5 hr rounds during peak times.
