Well, I went here to do a school project, a short documentary, on the museum. Also happens to be the very 1st time one of the videos Ive made has managed to make it onto the schools Youtube page, so thats good. Anyway, Vicki was helpful when it came to helping me meet up with Jeff. Jeff had some pretty interesting stories to tell and pretty much all the staff at the museum were nice & helpful. And the cars are pretty interesting to boot. Theres some fairly "normal" looking cars, but the majority of the cars here will be cars that youll look at and wonder "What exactly is that?" Of course, the collection at the museums mostly European, so dont expect to see Chevy Bel Airs, Ford Fairlanes, Mercuries, Model Ts, Pontiac Firebirds, Studebakers, Packards, 1960s Corvettes, yada, yada. You get the idea. Mostly European, some Japanese. A few select American ones. However, the lack of American cars really shouldnt deter you at all from coming to this museum. The admissions pretty cheap, the cars are very interesting, you get to go up real close to them(no touching them, of course!). I think even people who have no interest whatsoever in automobiles, will spend a bit of time looking around at all the oddball cars. lf you are ever in the Nashville area, whether you live around here(like I do) or are just visiting, pay a visit over to the Land Motor Museum. Theres really nothing bad that I can say about the Lane Motor Museum. Thumbs way up.

I was in Nashville for a week-long convention, and this was my favorite thing I did all week. When I found a brochure for this place, I thought itd be a Barrett-Jackson-esque museum, but I was way wrong! If you like weird, quirky, or rare cars, this is the place for you. Some of my favorites included the Renault 5 Turbo II, the Citroen DS, SM, and 2CV, the Caterham 7, the Tatras, and, of course, the microcars. These were just the ones that they had on display, though - there are somewhere around 300 (dont remember exactly) cars and about 150 of them are out on display at any time. Another thing that is really nice about the museum (besides the selection of cars) is the lack of velvet ropes/glass walls/whatever. There are some, but, for the most part, you can just walk up to the cars and see them up close. If you go, be sure to check out both the ridiculously big military vehicle in the back and the garage to the side of the museum. Im not sure whats up with the garage (obviously these arent the cars in storage, because there definitely werent 150 in there), but there were some cool cars back there, too. There were a bunch of military vehicles, a Lotus Europa, a Honda Beat (kei car), another Citroen SM, and probably some others that I forgot.

One of the best exhibits/museums I have been to. A really nice collection of cars, bikes and motorcycles well displayed and each with a short but informative sign about the object. Outside in a separate garage there are the larger vehicled. There were several short and interesting videos, a really nice area for kids to play, a vending area, a scavenger hunt game for anyone interested in making the visit a bit competitive, and a gift shop. On the weekends there is a tour of the workshop area in the basement. I was quite impressed with how well the place is managed - everything was super clean and well organized.

I have been to the museum on a couple of occasions. As a car lover and "head hunter" for a National Auto Show, I visit a number of museums and collections in search of show cars each year. The Lane Motor Museum gives me more smiles per mile than any museum I attend. You will see the largest diversity of unusual and rare cars here as you are likely to see anywhere else. The bicycle collection is amazing. The staff is polite, knowledgeable and always ready to assist you in the enjoyment of the facility. I can not recommend it highly enough. If your in Nashville, dont miss the Lane Motor Museum.

A great local automotive museum. They have an eclectic collection — which makes walking through a lot of fun. Theyve got a nice Nissan collection (thanks to the local manufacturer). Theres a little area for kids activities and one Citroen that anyone can touch and sit in. Make sure to go all the way in the back and look through the window to see the biggest wheeled vehicle youve ever seen! Right now, a ticket purchase gets you a discount at The Frist Automotive exhibit.

Jeff Lane has assembled the largest collection of European automobiles in the United States and possibly the most eclectic collection of historically significant motor vehicles in the world. More amazing still...much of the collection remains drivable today due to painstaking attention to restoration and maintenance by the museum. With pieces rotated periodically, every visit is truly a "must see" experience for all levels of interest and knowledge.

This is a museum filled with memories. They dont sugar coat these items. If the fender was dented or rusted then it still is. They try to keep it real! The tour is not guided so it is highly recommended that you watch the videos set up at certain locations. Allow at minimum 2 hours to take this all in. And dont miss out on the outdoor garage. Peek through the overhead doors in the back of the building. ...we were wowed!

Ive visited the museum at least three times and love the amazing old cars, the unique facility, and the knowledgeable staff. Last time I went, they started a few engines and also had tours of the basement, where more cars are stored and where the repair work happens. This place is a gem for anyone who appreciates motor vehicles, and the admission is very reasonable. Keep up the great work, Lane Motor Museum!

アメリカなのに小さな車が結構展示してあって楽しいです。ヨタハチやフェアレディZ専門コーナーがあって日本人も楽しめます。展示品かどうかは分かりませんが、ヤード裏にある超巨大車が圧巻

Outstanding showcase of cars. So much to learn here. Worth stoping in and learning about the all these autos. For as god as it was this museum is a bit heavy in the micro and mini segment. Also, I personally ave seem a good many of these cars in other museums so there was a bit of repetition. You have to see the larc when you do go. Ive never seen anything like it!

This was way more interested than I would have ever imagined! My wife and I both enjoyed all of the old vintage automobiles, prototype vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, and much more! Definitely worth it! Their website does not really do it justice. Definitely check this out if you are in Nashville. Give yourself 2-3 hours to really enjoy it. Great for families.

The place was great full of interesting cars and tons of history. Highly recommend one of the more unique car museums with more to do than just looking at old cars. If you plan ahead you can have the opportunities to drive done of the older cars that are still in driving condition. Also I can guarantee that you cannot name 20% of the cars showcased.

A brilliant collection of eccentric vehicles from around the globe and through our history. If possible time your visit with the daily basement tour, absolutely worth it. Theres actually more vehicles down there. Spent 3.5 hours and still didnt manage to read all the individual vehicle descriptions, just going to have to go back :)
