Horrible staff. We actually only saw three staff members while we were there and two of them went out of their way to be rude to people. To start off at the ticket widow, I walked up to the lady with cash in my hand and anxious children at my side. The price was two dollars per ticket higher than advertised on their website. Since I was paying for six tickets, I asked why the difference? She stated the website was wrong and they have been meaning to change that. My reply was that is bait and switch and they should give people the advertised price. She got on radio with the manager and then pointed out that the price is if you buy online only. It took me a couple minutes to buy the tickets online with my smart phone but it was worth it to save $10. She found my frustration with the whole thing very amusing but I dont hold a company 100% responsible for one bad employee. As we started into the park, we came upon the next staff member arguing with a poor woman trying to take in a group of adults with down syndrome. Apparently she could not find the receipt showing she had payed for everyone. Once she found her receipt, it was my familys turn to get harassed. According to him I was given the wrong type of receipt at the ticket window. After going back and forth a couple times we eventually got it sorted out and we were permitted to enter Alligator Adventure park.

After visiting the Ripley Aquarium, we were a little worried about being disappointed again in visiting Alligator Adventure but we were pleasantly surprised. It was about $34 for 2 adults and my 3 year old was free. The man who checked our receipt at the gate seemed very excited to point out different areas on our map and let us know what time the reptile & feeding shows were. As we walked through, there were literally alligators everywhere. Anything from a 3 foot juvenile alligator to the 20 foot main attraction. There were also many exotic birds, a reptile house, and quite a few turtle exhibits. The feeding show is something to strive to see. The keepers hold chicken up and the alligators jump for it. Amazing. One thing that we noticed was how active the animals here were. The turtles were climbing over each other to eat leaves off the bushes, the alligators were yawning and swimming after the turtles, and the snakes were slithering all over their exhibits. The refreshments here were very decently priced, unlike normal "zoo" prices and the gift shop had a wide variety of things, also decently priced. We will make this part of our vacation again. We were there 1.5 hours and that was with us hurrying through it because of the heat... you could easily spend 2 or 3 hours strolling through. Definitely worth the money.

Having boys who love animals made Alligator Adventure a must do while visiting Myrtle Beach. For 4 people (2 adults & 2 kids 10 & above) it was around $120 to get in, but when you leave you can stop by the desk to get your info took for a free visit within a weeks time. You are gave a map and times/locations when live feeding, and reptile handling was taking place then you was on your way to explore the park. They have tons of alligators to see from a tailless one, albinos, crooked mouth one as well as tons of snakes, different birds, monkeys, huge turtles. You also get to see the power of gators when they throw them pieces of raw chicken. And last but not least the best thing my boys loved about it was you can hold & have your pic taken with a baby gator or python. The 1st pic cost $20 & any after is $11 a piece. They will ask if you want it in print or just emailed. You already paid so go ahead and get the print. While waiting for my boys turn I seen so many pick the digital being emailed. So if you like reptiles etc this is a must visit. We also went back a 2nd time and seen a few things we missed the 1st visit. Be sure to wear sunscreen. I wasnt sure how it would be so didnt think about that and we all got a little burnt. You can bring you a drink too and they have a nice little gift shop.

Alligator Adventure is a fun place to take the family. A nice bonus is you can come back a second time within a week for free! Remember to get your second day pass before leaving. The staff were friendly and helpful. The animals look like they were treated well. They have more than alligators: bats, tigers, various birds, a camel, some kind of donkey, albino alligators, etc. The park is fairly large and you are always on wooden decks (unlike some zoos where you are walking on the ground. They have a few shows a day starting around noon. The one I saw was good for the kids on the first two rows because they let them pet a snake and a baby alligator (so grab a row up front if you want to participate). Compared to some attractions around Myrtle, this place is a bargain. Adults tickets are $18. I went by myself, so I didnt pay attention to children prices. And considering you can go back again, that makes it an even better bargain.

Ive been to one other Aligator park and Alligator Adventure is no Gatorland down in Florida, but let me tell you what Alligator Adventure is. Alligator Adventure is super clean and the animals look well fed and happy. The park is small and the shows are pretty simple and informative rather than being entertaining. Alligator Adventure offers pay for one day and get the second day free but you can tour the whole park in 2 hours or less and I couldnt see anyone wanting to go back the second day. It was $40 + for two adults and we were there for less than a hour and a half. We walked the entire park and saw all the animals and watched the feeding of one of the gators. This is a one time experience so get the family together and check out Alligator Adventure every couple of years.

Alligator Adventure is an amazing place to see these magnificent reptiles and much more in open environments and very natural looking settings. The staff are informative and helpful and the diversity of wildlife (especially reptiles) is very impressive. As a vacationer from eastern Canada it was a real blast to see the alligators and crocodiles, especially the rare albinos. Completely worth the price and the fact that you can return within 7 days of your first visit without paying a second time means you can go back and catch any feeding times or exhibits your might have missed or grab more pictures. Everything is reasonably priced and I think any animal or nature enthusiast or anyone with children owes it to themselves to check this place out!
