Took 5 days and golfed several courses in the Charlotte - Columbia area. Most were averaging about $30-$45 a round which included the cart. We arrived at the Fort Mill Golf Club on a Sunday morning to find we were being charged $20 per person just for the cart then another $49 for the round. Heck the Golf Club at Ballantyne is only $60! This course was in the worst shape of the 8 courses we played. Front 9 was in OK shape but the back 9 was terrible. Fairways were very dry and hard. For this price We expected a lot more. We were very disappointed and do not recommend. Save $30 and go to Emerald Lake. You will be pleased.

Great walking course. My favorite in the area. It is classic golf. Open layout for the most part, but position is critical. Great greens. A little over-priced and tough to get an early weekend tee time due to popularity. The two par 5s on the back should be renovated. They are too tight with too much shade, and provide no risk/reward or recovery options. Overall, I love the course and would recommend it. If you want to drink heavily, scream and holler, tee off 20 minutes late, and generally act like a senseless redneck, go to Tega Cay. They will love you there. You get what you pay for.

This course is a step above others in the Charlotte metro area. Its also a throwback to the ole traditional type of courses before carts took over. So, its easily walkable which about half of the players were doing today. Very nice facilities and staff. Almost feels like your at a country club. Discounts are hard to find for these Leroy Springs courses (there are three) Im glad I had one this day (2 weeks ago), because the course was not in the shape it needs to be to demand the posted rack rate.

Course could be a lot nicer for what they charge to play. Fairways were OK at best, needed mowing & attention. Greens were also just in OK shape. Couldnt judge the speed from one green to the next. Also, the 2 guys at the Club House desk have the personalities of a rock. Not very friendly at all. First time playing there & I doubt Ill go back. There are a lot nicer courses for less money that have friendlier employees.

Course is great and quite a bargain but there is one guy who works the check-in who is a customer service nightmare. He wouldnt honor the coupon on the Leroy Springs site and was very rude. Fort Mill should have this guy picking the range or doing some other job where he doesnt have to deal with the public!

Staff unfriendly. Golf course layout very good but in horrible condition. They never water the tees or fairways, only the greens. Hardpan everywhere,. At least 50 old cup marks on every green. Very grainy,in need of verticutting. Extremely disappointed. Dont waste your time or money here.

This is a great course! I really enjoyed my round here. The fairways were great and the greens were consistent. The staff was absolutely phenomenal! I highly recommend this course, especially to serving service members-they took great care of me.

course is a bit confusing to navigate (no map on score card and holes intermingle); snack shop provided ice bucket with ice with our drink purchases; ladies difficulty is pretty light (not many obstructions; all in all a decent play.

Typical D. Ross front nine w/elevated greens and some false fronts. Pay attention to greens closely. Nice George Cobb back nine design, easier green complexes to navigate. Play smart per course design to score well.

$55 for 18 holes on a Tuesday.....this is NOT Patriots Point....overcrowded, huge groups playing at an extremely slow pace. This course should be moved over the border to NC...

Nice course with front designed by Donald Ross. However, course conditions should be better if theyre going to charge ~$70/round.

Very stuffy for a public golf course in Fort Mill. Dont waste your time, go to Tega Cay.
