I was so so looking forward to the wedding day. All of my contact with Susan up until the month before seemed to be good- everything was organized. My day was great but my mom, mother in law, florist, and caterers day unfortunately was not. -The bathrooms were disgusting- my mom and mother in law had to clean them. -The white Linden Place chairs were filthy- my caterer had to waste an hour cleaning them. -Neither Susan or Jim (either coordinator) was there. They both went on vacation even though one of them had been present at every other wedding I had seen during visits and walk throughs.... -They did not set up the table for gifts and our guest book platter that Susan promised and wrote in her "notes." - They told us our grills couldnt go where it was confirmed that they would be even though everything had already been confirmed in our final walk through... -The two "hostesses" sat on chairs on the back porch and did not welcome anyone or tell anyone about the house. The first thing they said to me when I arrived carrying my dress and things with the bridal party was "you have to clear out the bridal room during cocktail hour" - even though I had discussed this with Susan about ten times- that my mom and sister would clear it out by 9:30.... -ballroom floor was filthy even though Susan assured us that it gets cleaned before all events Overall- there is a severe lack of communication. On a lighter note- I had a BEAUTIFUL day and gorgeous pictures. I just wish my family and caterer didnt have to go through that.

I had my wedding at Linden Place on June 22 and it was absolutely perfect. I had been planning for a year and a half, and both Susan and Jim, the event coordinators, were extremely helpful. Throughout the year and a half, Susan patiently fielded my countless questions and provided information and guidance. Every time that I visited or called, I felt reassured that Susan and the staff at Linden Place knew exactly what they were doing when it came to wedding planning. They are wedding pros! The day itself was exactly as Id planned and ran smoothly. The grounds are gorgeous, the house is awesome and was available to guests to explore, and the staff was warm and personable. I would recommend Linden Place to anyone as a wedding venue. I loved our wedding day so much! The setting of Linden Place had a big role in making our day so special. I cannot say enough about how wonderful my experience was with Linden Place!

Why would you have your wedding at the home of a slave trader? White people never cease to amaze me in their ignorant bliss. Beautiful home in a beautiful town built by murdering and exploiting human beings.

This was a wonderful place for my daughters wedding. Perfect for 130 or fewer guests. Beautiful old mansion and Museum. Affordable.
