Perhaps I am at fault for the poor experience I had at Galen Hall. I mean, I did select a Friday afternoon tee time on a beautiful fall day. However, the course was packed from (front to back) as a result of tee times being stacked only four minutes apart. This led to a lot of waiting and, at times, three groups backed up and/or playing one hole. It took three hours for us (a twosome) to get through the front nine. Frustrating to say the least. I understand the season is winding down, and perhaps theyre just trying to cash in, but its irresponsible and aggravating. We quit after nine and had requested compensation for only nine but were turned down. Great course condition but poor management. I may give it one more chance but Im not holding my breath.

Nice old A.W. Tillinghast course known throughout the region as having 4 very difficult par 3 and 4 very easy par 5 holes. In fact, a 4 on every hole is a good score. About 6100 yards par 72, the course is fairly easy through number 13 except the par 3 holes. After 13, the last 5 holes can be quite tough if you are hitting it a bit sideways. Usually in good shape, fast sloping greens are the main defense, and not all that busy in the afternoons. #2 is one of the goofier par-5 holes youll ever play, up an over a huge hill and then across a public road, then down about 100 feet to a green going away from you. Itd make a great par 3 or a fun par 4, but its not. I was a member here for a year and I loved it.

Greens were all rough and lower holes are holding up.goog despite all of the rain. Course is great challenge Always enjoy playing here. I give you three and a half only because the greens are airated.and all of.the rain.weve had recently. Normally the co I rse.gets four.and a half out.of.five stars Keep.up the quality work you do!

Havent played this course for a few years now but what I do remember about this course, its well maintained. Also its a little challenging and the staff at Galen hall were wonderful.
