Incredibly disappointed. We played in the outdoor playground area after purchasing our tickets to view the caverns. My older child played in the equipment and there was animal feces left on there and it covered her legs, arms, and dress. Not only did we have to inform the people working in the premise, the maintenance worker didnt even bother warning anyone else out in the playground about the animal feces while the children played on there. We ended up warning the other parents/kids. I was already upset about this, but when I talked to one of the sales lady in the back about the issue she tried to turn the tables on me and said loudly in front of the other customers "It isnt our fault if your daughter has had an accident." I verbally corrected her out loud and reiterated that it was some animal feces and asked if they could compensate. She then adamantly stated that it could not have been an animal doing that. And for compensation, I was basically told that if I bought an item in the gift store, they could discount it 25%. Needless to say, despite the interest and history of the caverns, we are incredibly upset and disappointed in their extremely poor customer service. DO NOT come here.

My gentleman friend and I recently visited Indian Echo Caverns and had a great time! The caverns are located very close to Hershey, PA and well-marked and easy to find. Id visited the caverns numerous times as a small child and was really excited to visit them again. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our tour to begin and used this time to visit the bathrooms (very clean and smelled aggressively of bleach, of which I approved), feed a hilariously crabby goat at the petting zoo and walk around the gift shop. We used a coupon that I printed off of the website (make sure the present it BEFORE they ring you up - there are signs stating this) and the entrance price was more than fair. The tour of the cave was fun and informative. It is a bit of an athletic tour - you have to go down 71 steps to get to the cave (and then climb back up!) and inside the cave there is lots of ducking, some stair-climbing and some fairly narrow passages. Claustrophobics beware! Our tour guide Bill was nice and seemed well-informed and definitely pitched his tour to the kids in the crowd and they really seemed to like it.

Came here with a group of 2. For some strange reason, we were the ONLY ones there. Just the tour guide and us. I got extremely lucky because he let me bring in my tripod and I got to take my time and snap away at whatever I wanted. He didnt try to rush us at all. We absolutely loved this place because of all the well developed formations (eg flowstone, column, drapery, stalagmites, stalactites, and straws). This cavern in my opinion is better than Luray and definitely better than Howes. I like the lighting that they used in here, basically a warm/yellow light. The other caverns like to use other type of lighting. What I thought was the best part of the trip was the reflection pool. With the right photographic eye you can get a very interesting/engaging photo. Overall, I highly recommend this place.

My two sons loved the guided tour. The tour guide "Billy" was fun and he was able to connect to our group. He was very informative and engaged the group with all stories regarding the history of the cave. The admission is $16 for adults and $10 for kids. The INDIAN ECHO CAVERNS is located in a small town beside a LARGE creek! I thought it was a river. Inside the cavern there is a underground lake so clear you can see the bottom. The location is very accessible in the town. Gift shops in the premises, my son bought a utility knife with his name engraving. There were 71 steps going down to the mouth of the cavern but you can rest on benches on your way down and way up. Takes 45 minutes to tour the cavern. You can tip your guide if you want to.

We went on a rainy day as a quick plan B since it rained...it was well worth our time! It is a cute little area with plenty to do and a great place to have a picnic -when its not raining ;-) There is a covered picnic area, playground, small petting zoo, and gem mill. Even the bathroom house was clean and updated...which is important when you have a toddler and tend to make several bathroom trips ;-) Our tour guide was awesome, very upbeat and cheerful and the stories and history told we enjoyed :-) He was not pushy and allowed us to take our time to get some beautiful pictures. Price is reasonable at $18 adult, $10 child 3 and up and the tour took us a good hour.

im not sure about going there, i would like to visit, but my parents went and one of the tour guides told my parents how they use bleach and different chemicals to kill the plants in the cavern She was a nice tour guide they said, but why work there if she has so many complaints, and then complaining that she was supposed to be head tour guide and they didnt give it to her? I think its time for her to quit and find a job she is treated better at instead of making complaints to people she is supposed to be giving tours to, kind of ruined their tour.

My daughter is almost two so we didnt go into the caverns (no idea how shed react and no quick exit) but we had a blast running around on the playground watching the chickens and feeding the goats, all for free.We also did the gem mining which she loved, not free but fun as a one time deal. All the employees we met were great and the gift shop was fun too. Were from the area and this is definitely going to be something thatll be on our rotations and once shes old enough to appreciate it well check out the caverns

Our family very much enjoyed our time in the caverns. Our tour guide was terrific. The setting is lovely. We enjoyed the tour as well as the animals. The only "negative" for us was that this otherwise family-friendly place that seems to attract lots of young children with school groups had a large banner hanging from their front window of a woman scantly clad and looking seductive. Not so family-friendly. Otherwise, a great trip that we highly recommend.

The caverns are fascinating for folks who love to explore. You are only permitted to enter in groups that are guided by a tour guide. Prices: 18/adults 10/children Free/babies. There are a LOT of steps to access the cavern entrance/exit. You will get dripped on when inside, wear clothes that can get a bit dirty. Also, shoes that can get wet in puddles. They also have animals nearby that you are allowed to feed and pet. They also have a playground.

My family and I went today to the cavern and was led by "Laura". Unlike the other tour guides who seemed upbeat and overall energetic, Laura does not seem to have the energy or enthusiasm as the rest. She is inconsiderate towards the people in her group and it felt like a class trip led by someone who doesnt enjoy their job anymore. I would highly recommend this place however it would be best led by someone younger and actually wants to be there.
