After finally getting to play Lindenwood, I can say I was a little disappointed. I may be a little overly critical, but I have heard such great things about the course I was thinking 5 stars. The pros - cost was reasonable, staff were all extremely friendly, the best at any course I have played. The cons - a lot of senior play, now let me explain, as I am now entering this age bracket and believe our senior citizens are a great group of people...they just hate to repair ball marks on the green, the greens although nice as far as roll, holding your ball and all the accolades that a great green can receive, the un-repaired ball marks were terrible. Our tee times were 9:30 , so I dont think it just happened that day. For the most part the fairways were okay, but as most western PA golfers can speak to, the side hill lies are found here but less than most courses in the area. Several tee boxes were uneven as well. Dont skip this course because of my rating, but there are better courses within an hour of Lindenwood.

Played here twice while in town for the U.S. Open at Oakmont in June of 2016. Course was in amazing shape and had very memorable holes. Par 3 on Blue course with shot downhill over pond with covered bridge to the side is one of nicest holes I have ever played. Three sets of 9 hole layouts - blue, red & gold and they rotate the 18 mix. Blue-red one day and maybe red-gold the next. Took my son who was still a teenager and greens fees were half off. Food in restaurant was quite good and reasonably priced. We ended up golfing here twice as we had such fun the first day. First day we teed off at 8 am before the leagues and played in just little over 3 hours and had the course to our selves on a Monday. Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Highly reccomend this course to anyone visiting or living nearby for overall conditions, price and variety of golf holes.

Usually this place is a five. The staff is awesome, always on time (starter is hardcore, but super nice), beers arent crazy expensive, the food is good and there arent too many dudes hacking away out on the course. With that said, with all of the rain lately the red course is a mess. Im hoping they remedy the situation.

Over priced for sure. $45 for a weekday?! Not bad for a well maintained course, but it wasnt. Mud all over the place and it hadnt rained in days. Greens were nice. Gotta give them that.

Truly beautiful course, I enjoy playing a round or two when I hop into the greater Pittsburgh area. Lindenwood has excellent and helpful staff. Never had a bad experience.
