Even though I highly Recommend this railroad to everyone. Its a 90 minute ride through a very beautiful part of PA. The train car restoration is beyond perfect. Absolutely awesome!!! However there are issues which they are very slowly resolving. You have to park on side streets and walk to the Station. The tickets are confusing. They have different prices for each car but once the ride starts you can go anywhere on the Train. The conductor gives a quick history of each landmark as you pass but I wish they had more photos and information on their website. They did an amazing job at restoring the train but little or no restoration of the Train station / Yard in Boyertown. I would love to see a lot more restoration of the landmarks along the track back to how they were in the 1900s. They are slowly improving and from day one this railroad is far better then others in the area

When I think of this railroad and the men and woman who restored this abandon and historic rail line 5 words come to mind. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. This track has some major historic people and events attached to it. From Thomas Edison to the Boyertown Fire which resulted in all public doors opening outwards. The restore job of these train cars is perfect and simply awesome!! There is nothing like it unless you have a time machine and a million bucks. And if you have a million please help this guys continue their awesome work. They want to restore the train yard in Boyertown back to the way it was 100 years ago, thats awesome!! Only down side is the parking is not all that good. Normally have to park on a side street and walk a few blocks. No a big deal. Still the most awesome train in PA!!!!!!!

The ride was terrible. When I booked the trip I was not aware that you had to book the parlor car in order to eat. The people helping on the train were far from helpful . Thanks to one of the guys on the trip who came around and asked us if we needed anything, at that point we were starving, came and showed us a menu that we could order something to eat and drink. No one came around to explain anything, plus the trip was in the dark. Not even the errie train ride. How disapointing! We ended up being on the train for two hours because of train problems which no one told us about. Finally at 9:30 pm we went to a restaurant close by to eat. You need better customer service and better explanation of booking . Never go again.

Clean facility, friendly attentive service, and a wonderful relaxing day on a nice train ride. This was no problem for us, but we had printed tickets, when we were boarding the train, we were told the printed forms were not acceptable and we had to walk back to the ticket office to exchange our printed tickets for official tickets. Maybe I missed the information on the website, but if it is not mentioned, it would be nice to let people know they must exchange their printed form for boarding tickets. This train riding experience surpassed anything we have ever done on any of the tourist trap type rides! We are looking forward to the bonfire excursions! Thank you to all the volunteers who made our trip so much fun.

Went to the Halloween train ride and my son loved it. The old train and locomotive are beautifully kept. You can tell they care about the train very much. Each detail down to the stain of the wood is done with care. The train takes you down the tracks about 6 miles with little displays on the side. There is an open air trailer where you can go out and see everything with the air whipping through your hair. The passager car as mentioned was very well preserved. There is a snack train and store which they maintain. The staff was very helpful and nice, and any questions you had about the train or the area was answered. They are running a Christmas train ride which we are looking forward to going.

I understand that we took the night time ride and being able to see anything was going to be a no go, but we were on it because of our anniversary, we opted for the ride and dinner and to be honest the dinner was Luke warm at the best, after dinner we decided to walk to the other cars and when we decided to sit for awhile in another car we were told we couldnt so had to return to our car. It was OK but not the best first time experience.

Great experience! We went on the Fathers Day beef and beer excursion with lunch and one drink included with a souvenir mug. Even though the train broke down, remember this is a historical trip, the staff handled the situation professionally and promptly, getting us into a/c, giving free drinks, option to visit attractions for free, and then emailing for a complimentary ticket for another trip. Get experience and great staff!

THE train ride was nice and the train cars were awesome The food was tasty but the beef was to chewy my mother in law and father in law couldnt chew the meat need to get a more tender beef notice other people didnt eat the meat either Also need some kind of canopy over the loading deck so dont need to stand in the rain or the hot sun for a long period of time All in all was a good time JUST need a few improvement s

My boyfriend and I went on their vegan dinner train ride in Nov. The trip was so lovely! I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the train cars were all so beautiful and really made you feel like you were traveling back in time to the mid 1800s. I would definitely go on a train ride with Colebrookdale Railroad again. After all, we did travel about 4 hours round trip to go on this one. And we were not disappointed. :)

If you love the feeling of the rails and the ability to relive days past, make this a stop along your way. The rail station is funded and operated by volunteers and donations. I was there for a special event in which they had an old steam engine borrowed from the local area. Get a ticket for the parlor car and enjoy a nice reading soda and a cookie. The parlor car will feature drinks later too.

Was planning on purchasing tickets for a third trip since I had wanted to do the Mudball Express last year, but did not get a chance. However, I realized they have since doubled their prices in the past year. Seriously $30 a person for what used to be $14 a person? I understand they are expanding but since I was on the Colebrookdale twice before, I will not be returning.

The campfire train was a lot of fun. The ride was very short though; would have been even better if we had gotten to see the rest of the line. The staff and volunteers were very friendly and accommodating on this trip and others I have taken in the past. Definitely recommend visiting!

This Railroad is amaxing. The ride is beautiful. The people working there are amazing. If, you get the chance I would recommend the Locomotive ride. This place is just great for families and Train Nuts of all ages.
