Wishing the pool was open later in the summer... sad its closed already this too-hot weekend. (When we had summer jobs as kids, we worked until the last possible day before school.) This pool does not seem geared to the needs of the community it serves. The hours are not user-friendly, unless youre unemployed. The night swim is too short for the fee and starts too late for the sun. Lessons only cater to young children and seem structured to interrupt swimming times, making it impossible to swim and have a lesson within a reasonable time slot... practice, I hear, makes perfect, but that means another trip, another day, another fee. Why not lessons in half the divided pool and swimming in the other? The neighborhood would have liked to have been informed that the pool was finally opened on Sundays this year. I hope they dont forego that next year because too few showed up on Sundays this year... not a single neighbor Ive asked even knew it was open and all have wished for that a long time. A sign at the pool, a Facebook post... an announcement on your site... all would have been nice to see... the pool is needed all weekend, every weekend, all summer. We do check online, but there is rarely a post to warrant doing so. On the upside, the pool seems clean and the lifeguards attentive, though the bathrooms can get out-of-control disgusting on occasion and no one seems to notice whether or not anyone has a cleansing shower before entering... used to be a rule that everyone must.

I like this pool alot even when it is full. the prices are fine with me most places you have to pay 5 to 10 dollars and they are not half the fun. They have a shaded area right next to the pool. I would have given montavilla 5 stars except i did have 2 problems.First i got in trouble by one of the lifeguards for no reason and almost got kicked out for saying "thats messed up" which is pretty stupid reason for me. secoond i dont really like the rule of if you cant swim without "floaties" you cant ve in the deep side without a parent, i can swm but sometimes i go alone with my younger brothers and sisters and i have to stay with them in thekiddie side because they cant be with me! they should really change that!

I know city budgets are tight, but GET SOME MORE POOL FURNITURE!!! There are many many paying people there (although this may be a fluke since lots of sun and a hot summer), so there needs to be more adjustable seats for people, had to lie in the bee infested grass area for an hour before someone moved their TOWEL. Since everyone wants their own pool chair and ONLY an avg. of 5 people actually SIT DOWN, the rest go into the pool, guess you NEED MORE POOL FURNITURE. Otherwise ok pool and area, but b ball court is hard as rock for an indoor gym

We go to the toddler (preschool?) open play on weekdays from 10:30-12:30 sometimes and its great for my 2-yr-old. They pull out a bunch of mats and ride-on toys and even a bounce house on Tuesday and Thursday! Its a good place for kids to have a level of independence and lots of options for play without having to have all these toys in your own house. Also they dont charge nearly enough for this at $1/child.

I took my three kids to the park they have there and went to the port-a-potty they have in the parking lot and there were over 20 used needles. I am disgusted with that the effort to clean up the park . There was trash all over in the grassy areas. I will not ever go again. I will be lodging a formal complaint with the City.

Would be at least 4 stars of I was under 18 or had kids. Has a summer pool and a basketball gymnasium. Would be great to have it either used more often by everyone in the community (plays or biweekly movie night) or have those activities more widely broadcast out.

My kids loved swimming here and playing at the playground this whole summer. It was really great that they had a free swim day each week because that really helps me out in my time of need. I would definitely recommend Montavilla to families in this area.

We attend many programs offered for kids and the preschool. My daughter loves her instructors and always has fun and feels safe here. The price allows us to do more activities then we would otherwise be able to afford. We love this community center.

Ive been coming here for seven years, starting when my son was a baby. They have great programs and drop in play/baby gym time. Great classes. Great park. And the pool! The pool! The pool is not just for kids, yall. Take a dip!!!
