Davisons seems to be well thought of by people I know in the wine industry, so I wont contradict that. As a matter of fact, when I needed a few things for winemaking they had what I needed. What I am rating is their general attitude toward home beer brewers, which I have been for 30 years. They do have some home brewing supplies, but are constantly out of several very basic items for brewing. I have heard contradicting stories from employees. One says they they sell so much that they cant keep popular items on the shelf. Another says the items (which have dedicated and labeled but empty compartments on the shelves) have been back ordered for weeks. Its actually been months. I like to buy local, but started to mail order supplies from out of state, and now get everything I need in three days instead of waiting months for Davisons to get the items in! It probably would be better if they just closed out their remaining brewing supplies and called that aspect of the business quits. Im editing my review and raising it to four stars because I stopped by, and they appear to be eliminating their brewing supplies altogether. Is unfair to rate them for something they no longer do.

I love these guys, they are extremely friendly and polite. They dont advertise it so much but they do have a decent selection beer and soda making supplies in addition to their very extensive selection of Vinyard and winemaking supplies. The staff and owners are very knowledgeable and helpful. Give them a call before driving out of town for supplies, because they probably have it.

This was my second visit to Davison Winery Supply and I will do everything in my power to never visit this store again. Twice I have left this store with the feeling I was unwanted. The staff was condescending, rude, and unhelpful.
