While we appreciate the effort that Kelsey and her staff put forth, we feel that some things fell far short of the expectations of ourselves and our guests. I realize that this isn’t a common occurrence, as the facility has very good reputation and that was the primary reason we chose it. First issue... I am the Key Account Manager for a liquor distributor. Because of this we had agreed to and were assured that the bar would be stocked with liquor that was part of my companies portfolio and not that of my competitors. The liquors that we explicitly requested not be served was there. Needless to say this was a conflict of interest for me and the many employees in my organization that were in attendance not to mention tremendously embarrassing. When this was mentioned to her she dismissed it as a simple mistake. That’s not a simple mistake, it’s a HUGE problem. Secondly, we had multiple guests tell us that they believed that the alcohol that was being served was “watered down”. If that in fact is the case it is not only unethical, but illegal. These same people among many others also complained to us about very poor bar service. While I can’t prove the claim that the alcohol was in fact “watered down" I can tell you that having that many people mention it certainly warrants suspicion. The food service was, as l learned from multiple tables an unmitigated disaster. Many tables did not receive their food until 9:30 which was after we had already cut the cake. It was well over 1.5 hours after the first tables were served. When they did receive it, they immediately claimed it was COLD, and in many cases not even what they had ordered. Almost every single person I have talked to claimed the food was cold. How could this have happened? Furthermore, I was told by one of our guests that she had the audacity to tell a guest that the delayed service was my fault because I “didn’t turn in the form with the number of meals at each table early enough”. In my estimation that’s terribly insulting at a minimum. It is my understanding that some of our guests have already contacted Springvale to file a complaint on their own. How embarrassing for my husband and I, as well as Springvale Ballroom. When we reached out to the facility manager, Sarah at Springvale, she took NO responsibility for these issues. She had an excuse for every matter that we brought to her attention. She was beyond unprofessional. It seems rather odd that a service oriented business such as Springvale would be allowed to function without a recourse for failing to provide a minimum standard of service. In essence, their policy is then by default, "you get what you get, and if you dont like it, its your fault." They did nothing to make amends. I would highly recommend staying away from Springvale, because if something does go wrong... they will blame it on you. In my experience, businesses do not function well without any accountability or customer satisfaction driven behavior. Rather than being able to look back on my wedding night as a fond memory I will now have to forever remember that evening as being tarnished by unfulfilled promises which led to our humiliation in front of our guests, as well as the bitter taste of terrible service.

My husband and I held our wedding ceremony and reception at Springvale Ballroom on September 10, 2016 and had approximately 170 guests. In short, everything from the moment we first contacted Kelsey about a year before our date until the end of our reception was flawless. Kelsey and her staff were 100% professional throughout the process. As a bride, I knew exactly what she needed from me and when she needed it. We got an all-inclusive package, so there was very little for me to do other than contact the contracted individual for the cake, choose a menu, and seat my guests who would be in attendance. Of course there were other tasks to undertake (wedding planning really is a ton of work), but I never experienced added stress as a result of Springvale. Because Kelsey was was so organized and the package was so inclusive, I was able to work 40+ hours per week, continue my graduate school program, and plan a wedding, which I never thought I would be able to do. As our date grew closer and my to-do list grew exponentially, Kelsey was even quicker to respond than usual to my emails. There were several times when I dropped in to speak with her and she accommodated my meetings and questions whenever she was available. Everything was well-documented on her computer and on a folder that she kept for our wedding. When she was with another couple or had a day off, other Springvale staff let me see the space and took any notes I needed. Kelsey made every last-minute adjustment that I requested (including table changes) and worked extensively with my DJ before and during the reception to ensure that guests were where they needed to be during cocktail hour, to be served their dinners, to witness the cake cutting, and to begin the entertainment part of the evening. As for the other members of the staff and the venue as a whole, I heard nothing but positive feedback. Many people told me the food was excellent, the staff were friendly, and they were impressed with the aesthetics of the venue. I was too busy greeting and dancing to really experience the friendliness of the staff and some of the food for myself, but in every interaction I did have, I was given the utmost respect and kindness. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to begin our lives together!

I cant even begin to put into words how perfect our wedding day was! Im an OH native, born & raised in the CLE area & now reside in TX. With planning a wedding comes stress, so planning a wedding from 1200 miles away was sure to be a challenge. Kelsey made my wedding planning experience smoother than smooth, responding to emails/phone calls w/in 24 hrs. We had our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony & reception at Springvale & there wasnt a single glitch. Kelsey was present through all 4 to ensure everything moved smoothly & accordingly. The ceremony & reception set up is perfect. The transition from ceremony to reception is very fast & seamless (<10 mins) w/out interruption of cocktail hour. The food is delicious (Im the pickiest eater), the cake is excellent, & the service is professional. We had 200+ guests at our wedding & there was more than plenty of room to move around & dance (& the dance floor was packed through the last song). My guests were beyond satisfied & complimented on how great everything was. You absolutely CAN NOT go wrong w/this venue...Kelsey is amazing & it is very affordable!!! What I expected to be stressful was the easiest experience Ive ever had b/c Kelsey & Springvale are that great at what they do. I assure you, you will not be disappointed! If I could have given a higher rating, I would do so w/out a doubt! (Wedding Day: 04/09/2016)

I spoke with one of the courses employees today about an EXPIRED email coupon that was sent for free 9-holes of golf that my boyfriend received yesterday (after he signed up on their website to receive promotions and deals). He has never been there before and we are new to the North Olmsted area, so he is/was interested to see the course, etc. I explained to this employee that this emailed coupon expired in 2014. The employee stated, “Not sure why that happened, as we discontinued that in 2014. That should not have been sent.” I then asked (since he was emailed that coupon and has never been there) if Springvale could honor the coupon as he does want to check the course out, bring friends for future tee-times, etc. Employees response was “No, we cannot. He can sign up on our website to receive future emails and promos.” I told her that is what he did originally, and was sent an expired coupon. My boyfriend also had his friend sign up as well , and I am sure the friend has received an expired coupon as well. Employees response was, “Not sure what to tell you. We haven’t had an issue like this in over a year” Not a good first impression at all on this golf course.
