My husband and I have been here several times over the past few years. While never overly impressed, we do like the location and live, local music. The last time we were here was july 2016 and we noticed the wine tasted like vinegar- it was horrible. When we complained we were told it was a bad batch and that was pretty much it. Tonight was such a lovely early fall evening we decided to go again. Unfortunately the bad batch is apparently still available and they dont care. ( this is the True North I am referring to). We decided to try the sangria and wow - it was even worse. Its sugary and sour. It tastes like a sour patch kid made into liquid. The service is never very friendly and I guess they dont enjoy working here at all because none of them are happy or friendly. The prices arent cheap and so after both of us feeling sick to our stomachs, we decided we just visited our last time. Its too bad because as I said, the location is lovely and music usually enjoyable. Someone needs to give this place a mercy killing or get new management or ownership. We are disappointed.

My sister, friends & I have gone to the winery every Dec. to do our annual Christmas ornament exchange. I have been there numerous times over many years & it was always great food, wine & atmosphere. Last night was a DISAPPOINTING to say the least. The wine was not that great. During the evening several people tried to return wine that tasted like vinegar & were not able to get $ back. Then we tried to order a pizza at 7:20 pm-They close at 9 & were denied b/c someone had 5 pizzas ordered or some excuse. Not sure why after we saw everyone in the place with there pizzas-it wasnt even that busy-we still couldnt get a pizza. Our group wanted wine & dinner but I guess not. We are going somewhere else next year. The guitarist & the new girl of only 2 days was great. The little blonde manager needs a class on customer service.

Ive never had a bad experience at Perennial, until tonight. We arrived at 6:30 and found a seat at the bar. They were busy and people were lining up to place orders to sit in the back room for the band. Never once were we acknowledged by the bartender or staff. After about 15 min I called the bartender over and asked if we could order glasses of wine and that we planned to stay at the bar. He said no and that we would have to wait in line if we wanted service. Needless to say we left. Im fine with many things and if he had greeted us at the beginning and explained their bar situation, I would have waited in line or whatever. But to not acknowledge you customer and explain any extenuating circumstances is inexcusable.

While a very charming atmosphere, the customer service and wine arent charming at all... The younger waitress with reddish/purple hair dropped the f bomb while telling us about the food and happy hour THEN had the nerve to try and tip herself $11 by not giving us back correct change. When I asked about being stiffed the change, while slurping down the rest of her wine she, without question, popped open the drawer and slapped the money on the counter insisting she wasnt drunk and remembers what I was talking about. I will say the sangria is very good, but the other wine selections are what I can buy at the store. And they were out of their signature wines. I wont be going back.

Decent food, good atmosphere and live music. The wine tasted like vinegar. When we complained to the server we were told since the bottle was already paid for and opened that there was nothing they could do. Many other people as of late have complained of the wine tasting like vinegar. Shameful they dont offer a different bottle or a refund. We were told they wouldnt open "this years harvest" until they sold all of last years vinegar, err "wine". Most of the restaurant clientele was sitting with 3/4 of a bottle of wine and drinking beer instead if that tells you anything.

I wish there was a Zero star rating. We purchased vinegar, not wine. Attempted to return each bottle without refund. However, the girl behind the counter did comp us beer for the original price of the one bottle of wine . The girl said as long as the wine tasted like the sample bottle, she could not do anything. Therefore, we had to eat that purchase. $18 wasted. Unbelievable. Service slow and sucked. Will NEVER patron this business again.

Cmon guys... you are destroying your business. Word has spread beyond town like wild fire about your vinegar wine! I had the same experience. There was a guy behind the counter who was cool, but the rest of the floor staff...not impressed. Dump out these bad batches of wine and find somehting else! Fire the rude workers... Food is still good, great atmosphere, great music.

This is a winery that serves appetizers & a pizza menu. (NOT A RESTAURANT). THIS IS A WINERY & VINEYARD, with a small food offering. Bar service only, and the lines do get long when there is a crowd. The building is an old barn with a straw bale room, outside patio overlooking a vineyard. If you like rustic & not to be bothered this is your place!

We almost did not come after reading the reviews but glad we did. Barn has a great atmosphere, the staff was friendly and polite. The wine tasting was a fare price. We enjoyed our time so we stayed for happy hour. Had the Americano pizza and a bottle of Cabernet for under $35. The pizza was delicious. The wine was a perfect pair to the pizza.

First visit here. the wine was delightful and reasonably priced but they should be even more highly regarded for their pizza! Entertainment in the garden was easy listening....perfect for the experience. Go on Wed or Fri for the entertainment and specials on wine and food!

We went to the bar for a tasting. The first bottle of white wine had a foul vinegar smell, we thought maybe it was just skunky. The second, third and fourth did too. We ended up drinking beer. After reading these reviews there is something wrong with the wine.

The so called "wine" was disgusting. They serve it room temperature in miniature glasses. If you want to drink warm vinegar by the glass this place is for you! Sangria tasted liked nail polish remover. Pizza was okay. Never returning.

The food and the atmosphere is really nice. It is a old barn redone. We have gone there several times because of that. They also have some great talent come in for entertainment . Unfortunately, their wine really misses the mark.

I like this place! Had Chardonnay and Cab. I recommend ordering an appetizer and a pizza (they take a while). We sat on the patio and listened to some guy on a guitar. It was great! The place is really cool for a local winery.

For being a place outside of Massillon, Ohios hapless, depressed area, this place stands out. Its uniquely quaint and a really neat spot to have a great white pizza with some pretty good wine.
