I came back in to give the place another shot as requested and was treated really well by the employees. My original review of this store was based on visits from a couple years back. Ive been back about a dozen times since I was asked to check them out one more time, and the one dude with the attitude apparently no longer works there. I also noticed the selection is better than it was during my several visits a couple years back. I tried the special order option and they managed to snag me an out of print DVD (that runs for around $35) for only $9!! I was very surprised about that. I wish they would carry some video games, and its still easier to find certain musicians on Amazon for less money, but the vibe in this place is so good now and so are the employees. I have to stop in every time Im Downtown.

Great selection except they dont do orders from you and a certain employee takes all the good pickins for himself...why do they have a record in the now playing section and you ask to buy it, everytime that employee says "not for sale"..really why's there a price tag and its on the now playing shelf?..love the place I have bought atleast 100 records since new opening, but that employee sucks..if he's workin I leave..you know who he is if you go there often.....START TAKING ORDERS YOU'LL MAKE $$$ instead of eating a sandwich in front of customers get on the computer and take orders....Toxic Beauty in yellow springs way better customer relations..know your employees fire that shmuck!

I read the old reviews and they simply arent true for the new location. The new location provides lots of room for the large collection of records, cds, and dvds that omega has, clean and organized, although they are still settling into the new location. They have a variety of genres and even lots of rare collectible records. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. local businesses like this add so much to the neighborhood and the city and need the communitys support. i love going to omega again and again and end up finding something everytime

A good medium sized store, right next to free parking so thats a plus straight away. Vinyl is my thing and I found a few bits here, prices seem reasonable although there wasnt anything too rare to be seen in my genres. Good to see a nice big rack of singles (45s), went through and pulled about 50, including a few quite decent items. Went back a couple of months later and was just a little disappointed to find that not much had changed, and no new singles loaded, but they do a great T-Shirt and its a friendly shop.

I recently went to Omega Records because it is the only close record store. I was sorely disappointed. The location is unpleasant at best. Once i went inside all i could smell was mildew, sadness, and what i believe to be cat urine. I only wanted to look for some Donny Osmond albums but eventually ran out crying!!!! There were some unsavory characters outside and I was in serious fear that i was going to be sexually assaulted. I will never go back.

This place is great, they make sure they keep a pretty good selection of new vinyl in stock and they are willing to order you anything thats still in print, I bought a bunch of 45s for record store day and they threw in the adapter for free. I will say that they dont have a big selection of must haves like when I go to Toxic Beauty but it is still a great store that allows Dayton locals to pick of some fresh 180g without having to travel out of town.

I have to give this place 5 stars because theres just nothing else like it in the entire area. If you want to step back in the 80s and enjoy surfing through TONS of records (and I mean tons) while listening to CRAZY off-the-wall retro music selections hand picked by the staff, then this is your best bet! The prices are great and the staff knows their stuff. Give it a shot if youre looking for that hard to find piece of vinyl!

Visited this shop for the first time today... I had a GREAT experience!! I came in with for one thing... Vinyl!! Great selection, great atmosphere and good prices. But what sold me was the sales staff... friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The guy that helped me informed me of a promotion and was helpful in finding what I was looking for. He even gave me advise on my record player. I will be back!

Horrible customer service. Bought 2 new pressing sealed albums - one wasn’t pressed correctly and the center spindle was too small to play on my turntable (a top of the line vintage pioneer model). Went back the next day with the receipt to exchange it for another copy of the exact same album. They refused to exchange it. Will never shop there again.

My favorite place for LPs and hard to find stuff. If they dont have it, ask and they can locate it or order it for you. Staff is nice, willing to help and knowledgeable. Located at the front of the Oregon District, so if you go here make sure to check the whole street out. Loads of cool stuff to see/do.

WHAT AN AWESOME PLACE!! I recently sold some vinyls, and they gave me a more than fair offer, and they were willing to just talk about vinyls. Not many cool places like this around!! Staff is very friendly and really willing to help you out if they can!!!

Such amazing, warm, and helpful service there. They helped me choose the perfect Turntable and vinyl records. Lots of trinkets to buy and all while some atmospheric music plays in the background. I couldnt recommend it enough!

previous reviews have not been fair. omega records has a new location, new stock and new leadership. but they proudly carry on their 27 year tradition. great record store with knowledgeable helpful staff.

They have a lot of records and CDs you wouldnt find elsewhere. They can be expensive depending on what youre looking for. The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for a record store.

All of the employees are knowledgeable and really helpful. Really great place to go for new and old vinyls, and they will order stuff for you if they dont have it. I stop in here almost once a week.

Waste of time, Stinks & Smells... I dealt with the worst customer service there, basically consuming two hours out of my day and my gas to find out they lied about being able to help me.

Service is polite and helpful. (They actually seem to enjoy music more than posturing.) Selection is great, and prices are more than reasonable. Be sure not to skip past the bargain bin.

Disc was graded M-, I received something that looked like an air hockey puck. Guy wouldnt respond to his emails. I can only assume that his shop is as crappy as that transaction.

Great service. The manager(?) really knows what hes talking about. A little pricy on new music, but lots of second-hand albums for very cheap
