I LOVE that my husband and I were able to have our wedding reception in the Cardinal Health Ballroom at The Lincoln Theatre. We’ve sung on the stage with a local performance group several times, so the place already had meaning. Now, it means so much more! WHY WE PICKED THE LINCOLN THEATRE We picked The Lincoln Theatre for sentimental reasons. Also, it is one of the best priced wedding reception venues in Columbus that we found. There were no add on fees for dance floors or up-lighting. And we were able to use the gobo projector for no additional charge. CATERING AND DRINKS There was NO CATERING SURCHARGE for bringing in our own caterer. We were told that deli and veggie trays prepared at Giant Eagle are fine to bring in. This was definitely a budget-friendly option. Drinks and alcohol must be served by CAPA, but again, there is no additional surcharge or hidden fees. The prices for the drinks are provided in advance. ABOUT THE BALLROOM The Cardinal Health Ballroom comfortably accommodated our 120 wedding guests, and there was plenty of room to move around the tables. There was also ample room for dancing in front of the ballroom’s stage. COMMUNICATION AND STAFF Other reviews have noted that communication with the Lincoln staff can be iffy. We did experience delays in responses; however, Kevin provided all of the information we needed. We scheduled two tours of the venue with him. Kevin was there when we decorated, and I was told he was there before the reception began in order to make sure everything was running smoothly. A different staff member was there throughout the reception and cleanup time. He was a tremendous help! WHAT OUR GUESTS THOUGHT They loved the space! They thought the venue itself was unique, and they especially loved why we picked this space.

Recently held a reception here in their ballroom. While the facilities were nice, service and communication were atrocious. We really wanted to have our reception here but after weeks of un-returned phone messages (when I got an answering machine, other times the phone would ring indefinitely), it took an email to the executives of CAPA for anyone to get back to us. Then communication between with the theater was awful after booking the event with questions going unanswered or taking weeks to get a reply out of them. Overview: Nice location, but horrible communications, awful billing practices (down payment did not cover bar as their literature indicated it would), exorbitant bar prices, too-restrictive decorating guidelines, and an overall unfriendly attitude toward clientele. Save yourself a headache and book your events somewhere else downtown. A real letdown CAPA.

Ive been coming to the theatre since it open and may i say its a beautiful place. I will say people forget that its a historical place and things they may want to do i.e decoration, glitter hanging items from the ceiling are not allowed.People must be realistic about the theatre and not compare to other capa buildings b/c they are not the same. If you want a unqiue beautiful high class event come go to the Lincoln if you want a low budget quick, thrown together event choose another place a good event cost and you must pay for the best. My High School Graduation was in the theatre in 2010 and boy did we feel like the kings n queens of the Egyptian empire

We Came here to see Chris Fleming of YouTube Fame (Gayle Waters Waters) & Overall I Really Enjoyed the Experience! The Venue has a bit of a small lobby that can become uncomfortably crowded at times. Otherwise though, the staff is Really helpful & polite & the Heart of the Venue so to speak is Lovely! The Nice ,if A bit odd, Decor & Comfortable Seating make it a Good Venue in my opinion!

Went to a womens conference here and it was amazing. Such a cute theatre! I also attended a wedding and reception here several years ago. It was a great location for a wedding, I wouldve never thought to have one there. Ceremony was in the theatre and reception was in a large ballroom upstairs.

I saw Henry Rollins here and was pleasantly surprised by this place. The theater is very nice, the staff friendly, and I think every seat looked like it would have a great view. Not sure if this is always, but they even had free parking nearby. A great place to see one of my favorite speakers!

PB&Jazz is wonderful for kids! My young daughter loves to dance and sing so she really enjoys the wide open space to dance and run around. I love that Im exposing her to different genres of music and allowing her to be expressive.

Beautiful restored theater! I dont think I had ever heard of the Egyptian Revival style of architecture before I attended an event at this theater. The Lincoln Theater is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

I grew up in the Lincoln Theater I went to the theater and watch movies full circle I went to my class reunion in Lincoln Theater I think its beautiful its 5 stars 5 stars

Beautiful theatre in the Egyptian Revival Theme. Seats a little under 600. There are accessible seats on main floor and in the lodge.
