I actually stayed here in May 2016, Im just getting around to writing a review now. This is a really nice campground in a nice area, I only gave 4 stars due to the fact that they let a group of five tents occupy the space next to me and the campers totally impeded on my space. I have a small trailer, just 18, and it seems like because my trailer doesnt take up a lot of space, people are always getting really close to me and using space which isnt theirs. If I had a bigger camper my camper would have been in the space where their tents were set up. As it happened, when I looked out my back window, there were 2 tents. When 3 more arrived, I spoke up as they were about to set up and told them to move more to the right. I wasnt mean but I told them that I felt like they were too close to me. They apologized and complied, but theres no way 5 tents should be allowed on a site. I probably should have made an official complaint to a manager, but I just didnt want to deal with being a bad neighbor and ruining someone elses weekend. They stayed up until all hours and I had to sleep with ear plugs. They werent rowdy, but when someone is right outside your window talking, you hear them and its enough to keep you awake. Okay, other than that. Its a lovely campground and looked like a ton to do. I didnt stay there much. I was staying there for a dog show and left at 6:30 each morning and returned late afternoon. I walked around though and there were a lot of different activities, a lovely stream, and river and spots to camp along those. There were big playground areas. Although the spots are next to one another without much space between, there was a big grassy area behind my site and a clump of woods that separated it from the loop behind. Also, the spot I chose didnt have anyone directly in front of me, just a view of the river. I did not see any off leash dogs, thats always a plus for me. Theres a nearby park for boat rentals and other activities too. I picked out a spot I liked near the river and if Im ever in the area again Id definitely stay here and choose the spot I picked out if its available.

Please be aware of the 30 day non-refundable cancellation policy. We found out after we tried to cancel our reservation a week prior when we found out we couldn t make the trip. First of all, we made our reservation within the 30 day window and no one made the policy known at the time. We were told, " its on the website", but we didnt book through the website-we called. We called guest services to complain but got nothing but the runaround. Customer service at guest services for Great Parks and at the Winton Woods Campground location is terrible.

Quiet, well maintained campground. Spacious sites, also offer cabins. Bath house clean and well maintained. The playground is newer and has the bouncy ground ( no mud or mulch). Roads paved for biking around the campground. There is boat access to the lake so bring your canoe or Kayak. If you get bored you can bike/walk down to the harbor area to eat, rent a boat, go to a larger playground/ sprayground, etc. They also deliver pizza to your site!

Great camp sites for the most part and dock fishing. Playground for the kids. We stayed in this spot and there was a storm. The people behind us showed us the tree by our tent that kept rocking with the wind and actually splashing at the base. They wouldnt move us to another spot. Being curious we drove by the next weekend and they cut it down. So they need to have safety in mind more.

Nice enough people. Nice enough facilities, however, as a KY guy, Ive never been impressed with Hamilton County campgrounds. The Lakes are small, the sites are crowded and they are more expensive than the much more robust campgrounds across the river. If the idea of tenting out at your neighborhood park sounds like fun, this is the place for you...there just isnt a whole lot to see.

BEAUTIFUL campground. Clean, neat, paved streets and our site was level and paved. Patios, fire rings and picnic tables. Great amenities. Close to restaurants and shopping. Loved it. NO cable but all other hookups. Lots of dogs and kids but all were well behaved. Really enjoyed our time here.

We stayed in one of the small cabins they are clean and the site was large enough for the kids to have somewhere to play. The facilities are clean, nice park, close to the lake. Love the security of the front gate you are not able to drive into the campgrounds if you are not staying there.

Absolutely wonderful!! Beautiful park, great playground, secured area, friendly neighbors. Only suggestion, bring your own kindling for a fire. The park does a great job cleaning up sticks to keep their park clean so theres no kindling for fires.

Super nice campground! Ranger Dove was over and above helpful! Didnt give 5 stars because its a lil pricy at $28/night... maybe they could just include a few pieces of firewood, at that rate... but a great site no matter, real quiet!

Clean campground. Not quiet on a Friday night in the summer. Our kids like to fish and theres easy access from the sites. Small camp store with a decent selection.You can reserve online.

Very clean camp grounds good cheap place to stay only 59 bucks a night for a cabin sleeps 6 or more great place to stay for kings islands or newport aquarium trip better any hotel

My young preschoolers had a fantastic time. The playground was right across from our site. We loved it. Gotta see Winton Woods again this summer!

Pretty good campground. Lots of families with kids and pets. There is a lake nearby that has boating, fishing, and some playgrounds and a shop.

Fantastic park! Beautiful park grounds surround this whole campground. TONS for the kids to do! Clean facilities and great staff/service!

$49 a night for a site is too high. We were initially given a tent site even though we told them we had a 28 foot trailer. Not impressed.

Clean facilities and friendly staff. The basic cabins have AC and can sleep up to 5 people, definitely a good option in the summer months.
