I go here all the time to walk my dogs. Usually there is no one charging at the front booth, so I was confused why there was this time (this is not a problem by the way. Lots of parks charge!). Today (9/10/17 at 1:50PM) I pulled up to a mid-aged black man at the booth and he asked me if I was a resident. Confused, I said "no, theres usually no one here. Thats different." Hoping for a "oh we charge on sundays!" It would have made sense. Instead, he looked at me like I was an idiot and he said "well thats not the problem is it?" I had no idea what he was antagonizing me about at this point so I said "what do you mean?" and he said, "me being here isnt the problem. Its that you have no money to pay." I had barely even said anything to him at this point and he rudely assumed I was trying to get out of paying. A little ticked off, I said "I do have money... Ill just turn around." And he said "yeah, thats what you need to do." So completely unnecessary. I then asked him what his problem was and he returned the same question. Whoever that man is, ruined the whole desire to return to the park. Shame, because its beautiful.

Words can not express how much we love this park! Its a $5/person fee, or $40 a year for a family pass. There is a very unique play structure, a beautiful butterfly garden, a huge train area with trains running all the time, a dragon sculpture, and a very nice watering area for the landscaping and gardens. The staff here are so friendly and helpful (I once brought the jogging stroller by mistake, which doesnt fit through the doors, and they opened separate gates for us). Never a dull moment here, and I always seem to learn something new from the staff.

No free playground. Steep trails. No place for kids. We have teenagers and a 3 yr old so 30 dollars just for our 3 yr old to play on the playground. Not a family friendly place. The elderly lady who runs the gift shop was extremely rude. We had no intention on paying to play and she snapped at us for even being in the gift shop. Nice. And we wondered why no one goes there

This is a relaxing, well designed Hamilton county park. Great for a walk on the paved inner loop, or a bit longer hike on the crushed granite "outer" loop. Theres a very nice Natures Niche gift shop inside the original farm house and a pay-to-play kids nature area. This is a good scale park compared to its adjacent Winton Woods parks to the west.

Went into the visitors center and got barked at by the elderly lady who works behind the counter as soon as we walked in even before inquiring about paying for my daughter to play on the playground. Ive been to all Great Parks locations. This is the only one I did not enjoy. We do not mind paying but this was ridiculous. Very unwelcoming.

What beautiful gardens and fun play areas for little kids! My grandchildren loved the little tree houses and had such fun playing inside each one. My little granddaughter enjoyed "serving tea" to her mom, aunt and cousin. She and my grandson stopped to smell every flower and were delighted with the butterflies.

Beautiful park! Im new to the area and have been taking my kids our exploring. One day this place came up and we decided to check it out. We went to the Highland Garden. It was so beautiful and so much fun for my kids to play in. We ended up getting a membership for our family and we cant wait to go back!

One of the most beautiful parks in the Cincinnati region. Three miles of walking trails, scenic overlooks, and landscaped gardens make this park really special. Visit the Highfield Discovery Garden, a childrens garden located within Glenwood Gardens, for an educational and delightful experience.

Beautiful park that almost feels like your own little secret. Easy parking to beautiful and well-maintained area with lots of flowers, trees, and beautiful landscaping. Then, you can go down a hill and take some little walking trails. Great place for family pictures or portraits.

The park itself is absolutely beautiful and the scenery is breath- taking; however I expected just a tad bit more in the Highfield Discovery Garden. Its quite small and most of our trip was spent with staff helicoptering in a very unwelcoming manner. Dont see my family returning.

The place was beautiful and so much fun but I had a hard time finding it and figuring out how to get in and pay. You have to go through the gift shop and tell them at the counter that you need a ticket. There are few clear signs and the gift shop is kind of hidden behind a patio.

Great place to take the little ones to learn the appreciation of gardening. There are places for them to play, walk, climb, see pretty colors, new smells, get misted on and enjoy your company. Great bonding time with the 4yr old granddaughter.

I come here about 2-3 times a week to eat lunch on my lunch break. Its a nice place to walk but the lady in the gift shop was rude. There are no picnic tables to eat at unless you want to pay extra for some kind of discovery tour for children.

Gorgeous. Great place to walk. Unfortunately they put in a parking lot in recent years, used to be much prettier. But still one of my favorite places to take my dog and my friends (in that order).

The tiny little caves for kids to crawl under and the tea house were a hit with my daughters. Cant wait to see how it looks in the spring with all the beautiful flower and buds
