I have been to Tangier numerous times. The table seating is too tight, so I prefer the bar seating, however it is a little more difficult to see the entertainer on stage verywell. Also, their policy is awful for unforeseen circumstances. I recently feel and broke my leg needing surgery. I had the surgery just 3 days prior to the date of the concert tickets I have and I either lose the money or suck it up and attend the concert I bought 4 tickets for over $200 total. They need to re evaluate the policy on no refunds/or exchanges. Especially with the tight seating it really is not handicap ready. I purchased the tickets 2 1/2 months ago so I will be there. I will not throw away that kind of money. But it has taught me a lesson not to purchase tickets so far in advance anymore. Also to rethink my entertainment venues.

We had our wedding in their fountain room, and the whole process was great! Angelica, our coordinator, was so patient with us changing some details around and asking for a second tasting, and she was so helpful every step of the way, especially when we had technical difficulties with our music. The venue is gorgeous, and really doesnt need extra decorating, which makes one less thing to worry about. The food is all so delicious (especially the stuffed pork)! The serving staff was excellent, and our bartender was fantastic. And the best thing was that the pricing was all-inclusive; we didnt have to worry about rentals or a separate bar cost. Thank you so much to Tangier for making our reception amazing!

Went to a concert here and the acoustics was excellent! The seating was a different story. Six to a table when there should have been only four. The wait staff had to navigate around everyone who sat at the end of all the tables, myself included. The wait staff also told my guest that they didnt have Patron tequila but another bar in the venue did. I didnt really understand that but hey. The worst part though was that they didnt offer any glasses for beverages only plastic cups! Are you kidding me? Mint Condition was the group playing so that made up for the negatives! Support real music!!!

We got married here on July 1st. Angelica was great to work with from the beginning. I was not the typical bride who wanted to plan every detail or had dreamed about everything since I was little. I wanted a wedding planner but decided I would save the money and do it myself. Without Angelica I would not have been able to plan any of this wedding. She was so helpful and professional. You can tell they do this every weekend multiple times a weekend. The food was excellent and serving all 220 guests was done very quickly. I would highly recommend Tangier to anyone looking to get married.

Went to a show recently. The band and sound was GREAT. The food and "service" was hilariously BAD. Martinis in tiny plastic cups with no olives for $7. They were "out" of them...at a Mediterranean restaurant. The room was FREEZING they decided to not turn the heat on I guess. Restrooms were cramped and smelled like out houses. The STAFF was nice despite the fact their hands were tied up by shoddy "management". If someone you want to see here comes around go to the show but bring a coat and eat before you get there. They definitely have the best sound in northeast Ohio.

Historically known in the area as a classic venue for live entertainment by famous acts as well as massive banquets, weddings, and intimate dining. 3 generations of the George family have proudly kept this a jewel in Akrons crown. Only open nowadays for events so you cant just pop in for a dinner date but nonetheless it still begs to be seen. Boasting around a half dozen dining rooms including a wine cellar and a cabaret for concerts its decadent top to bottom which says a lot as its the areas largest restaurant. The kitchen is the size of a football field, no joke!

Eight years ago today, we had our wedding and reception at Tangiers. Since then, we go back every year to celebrate. Our event planner, Kelly was superb! She puts in 100% to make sure your event or special day is perfect! I am so glad we decided to have Tangiers do our wedding. After seeing the grandeur-like atmosphere, the variety of entrees, and professionalism, it nearly sold itself...and the price was very reasonable. Its like getting everything in one place! Tom and I will always hold fond memories of Tangiers.

Drove from Cleveland to experience what friends were saying about this place. Right away you notice the white table cloths, the stemed water classes and polished silver at each table. The waiters/waitresses dressed in black with ties elevated the status with a professional look. Our meal was delivered on time, fresh and hot, deliciously seasoned. Sea food is always my favorite for a Friday meal, was moderately price for a high end restaurant. A repeat trip is well worth the drive.

Just read an article about Tangier and how they would not refund a groom for cancelling a wedding reception as his future wife passed away unexpectedly this summer.... 18 MONTHS before the wedding reception. Absolutely absurd. They finally refunded the brides family with GIFTCARDS after the Cleveland news channel got ahold of the story. This company should be completely disgusted with themselves and I would NEVER consider holding or attending any event at the facility!

Melissa- Saw Alan Cox and Had Dinner. What a Great Place. The Building itself was amazing, but the Staff and the quality of our meal made it extraordinary. They were packed and everyone was having a good time. I had the Filet- Perfect my friend had the Cajun Chicken Pasta- said it was awesome!!! Who would have thought that we just a couple of regular Joes could Experience the Tangier. Who Knew?!?!?

Today my family and I dined at the Tangier for their Easter buffet. In the past I have had sub-par Easter dining experiences at other local establishments so I was hesitant to try another. That was not the case with the Tangier. The food was great and the staff was very attentive. I did not feel rushed and everyone left happy. We will definitely be dining here again next year!

A great little intimate place to see live music or a comedy act. Comfortable seats and booths, although they may be a little small. Food is pretty good, and a good selection of drinks. Place can get pretty crowded when its packed, but not too bad. Saw The Easy Street Band reunion here and it was great, good sound and a fun place to be

came here for a Michael Stanley concert and had a horrible experience. They pack you in like sardines. Seriously. So tightly that you can forget about getting up to use the restroom. People are rude as hell and wont let you get through. Ill think that will be the first and last time I go here for any concert.

Came to see a show and have dinner and it was AMAZING! The servers were friendly, the atmosphere was what youd expect from a high end restaurant, and the show was super fun! I would suggest trying the Tangier for yourself because i have always had a great time there.

This was been the worst service I have ever received. The food alone was subpar to animal food, the only people to get decent service were the to go orders. If you want a truly unique experience dine here.... Have a thick skin a iron clad stomach.
