Can you say weeds and lots of them!!! Ive played Shore Gate over the course of many years and have always found this course to be challenging and in great shape. I played today and while the fairways and greens were in good shape the rest of the course was borderline "dog-track". They are getting overwhelmed by crabgrass - its everywhere. The waste area bunkers look like they havent been cared for in years. The fringes around the traps were in horrible shape. The condition that this course is in is terrible - terrible -terrible. Certainly not worth the $105 greens fees and probably not worth 1/2 that. I will not play this course again until I hear that its condition has turned around. Damn shame - loved this course

Played it for the second time. Great course, challenging. The more familiar you get with the course, the better you score. Not a course for a 10+ handicapper. You can hit the ball on the greens and be lucky to two-putt. Placement of approach shots is most important. Starter was super nice.

I was fortunate to play this course today and was pleasantly surprised by the fairways and greens. The fairways were in excellent condition and held most of my shots, but score card was littered with three putts. I would suggest this course if you’re staying near the Jersey shore

Shore Gate is in my top 5 course -ever! The course design is marvelous -- every hole is unique and fits my eye. Though off-season, a lot of routine maintenance is keeping the course shining. If you want a great golf experience, play Shore Gate -- you will not be disappointed.

Top notch golf course. I would say best for the South Jersey area in courses open to the public. Make sure you tee it up from a proper set of tees to make the experience the best it can be. Its a tough golf course, but far from unplayable.

Beautiful course. They guy wrangling carts in the morning seemed annoyed we were there to hit the range and putt. Attitude goes a long way and this will be the last time I use that facility.

Amazing course with a friendly staff. Best course on the Jersey Shore and I would recommend everybody to play it. Just bring lots of golf balls because it is very difficult.
