The Concert Pavilion, is not the Concert Grove House that was demolished in 1949. This Concert Pavillion designed by Vaux was completed in 1874. I noticed the pavilion consists of eight cast-iron posts modeled after Hindu columns of the medieval period which support an elaborately painted hipped roof with a stained-glass cupola. Also known as the Oriental Pavilion, the structure was used as an open-air restaurant for some time. In 1987 it underwent a complete restoration. Visit it. ****

Good news! The Prospect Park Alliance has received funds to restore this beautiful building. Originally an outdoor eating area of a restaurant attached on the Park drive side.

One of most beautiful spots in the park. Shaded and wooden. Many places to sit and take in natural scenery.
