Marine Park is an incredible neighborhood to live and experience. I have been living here for the last 13 yrs. However, this is for the very selfish and probably racist person who made a very rude and disturbing comment about too many Cricket being played and too many foreigners destroying it. Please. If you guys see colored people playing sports(soccer and cricket) in the park, whats the problem with that. And how do you know they are foreigners. We are all foreigners, unless of course you are a native Indian. LMAO. You definitely sound like a typical white racist. SMH. WE all have the rite to play in this park. I play there everyday. We pay taxes just like you. You need to be quiet, because you sound very ignorant and stupid.

I love Marine Park. As my neighborhood park, I spent lots of time here: playing on the monkey bars as a kids, playing baseball on the many diamonds, or having a picnic in the wide open grassy plain that was inside the mile long bike track. Set right beside Marine Park Junior High School, Marine Park is extremely large and has everything you could possibly want in a park. Exercise equipment dots the outside of the track, shaded picnic tables for families to sit and eat, a large, padded playground for the kids and a public restroom towards the center of the park so you didnt have to run home to do your business. Marine Park is refuge for the neighborhood that was surrounds it and carries its name.

The Marine Park Nature Center offers exhibits plus an enjoyable 1-mile, mostly level salt marsh nature trail that lets you enjoy a vital part of our tidal ecosystem, still not far removed from the life of Brooklyn around it. Accessible by bus, and parking available across Avenue U; with bike, pedicab, and boat rentals available. Also, on warmer afternoons, youll get to (try to) follow the intricacies of the game of Cricket at the two cricket pitches across Avenue U from the Nature Center. Brooklynites from the West Indies and elsewhere gather to enjoy the game they inherited from the United Kingdom.

Huge park, lots of different areas to choose from, from kids playground with sprinklers, bocce courts with roof for some shade, basketball courts, huge baseball field, park gym equipment in certain areas, great for excersizing, love the open field you could let your dog run loose off the leash if they are well behaved, theres a half mile track for walking, running, rollerblading, biking etc. Theres also bicycles you can rent and ride around the park with your kids, so many options great park to go to if you havent been there already. Great for all ages from infants to adults.

The salt marsh is a real nature preserve which means there are gross gnats, a few alcoholics hanging around, and of course no real great trail to get your kayak into the water. But...why should there be? Its a real nature area, it doesnt need to be well manicured it just needs to be left alone. I love this area even with its shortcomings. You can Kayak up to the Belt Parkway where you can see at times people doing tricks on the beach with their motorbikes. Or you can just rest on the lazy inlet and take in the sun. Its not a hard paddle but it is deceptively big!

The salt marsh nature trail has many flies during the summer , bring insect repellant. During the spring the trail gets flooded from melting snow and heavy rains . The problem with this park is that the restroom at the nature center is usually closed early ,by around 5:00 PM,even during the long summer days, when people come here late in the afternoon and find that its already closed.

This is a nice, large park with lots to do. There is a diverse populace and a good place to people watch. The creek is across the avenue and there is a rental place with bikes, kayacks and other activities. There is an area for tennis, paddle or hand ball and of course children. There are workout areas as well as a great deal of baseball and cricket fields. The park is well maintained.

Nice park to do a quick run or to take a nice stroll around. But I will always now look at the $16 MILLION dollar field house and then look at the crappy baseball fields and wonder what the hell was the city thinking. Yeah I said $16 MILLION! What a waist of money. Tip: For a great nature walk across Ave. U to the nature center and take a nice walk through the marsh lands.

Big park with locals from all walks of life—it doesnt get more Brooklyn then that. Also big enough to do circles on your bike around the park or jogging, playing in vast grass field, renting small boats in the summer to fish in the cozy reservoir is also an option but some people get to annoyed by the mosquitoes and small wildlife that roam around the water banks.

This is by far my favorite place in Brooklyn. Once you set foot into Marine park you forget that its located in the city. I recommend this park to anyone who loves nature and wants to get out of the city but doesnt have the means to do it. Lots of creatures inhabit the park, among which you can find little crabs, ducks, Canadian geese egrets and many more...

Beautiful large and very well- maintained park! Wheel Fun rentals has a post here and they are reasonably priced enjoyment for one person or a group. There is also a salt marsh with a boardwalk for exploring/ bird watching, a free nature conservation center, several playgrounds/ courts/fields for active play. My family and I had a great time!

Such a great park! Love to job here, I can always get a good work out in, they could trim the bushes in the salt marsh trail though. My son loves the sprinklers and my dog loves meeting other dogs here. Everybody is just so friendly. I did loose $6 here though so if u found it lucky you. The playground needs some work though its disgusting.

A relatively small park, but not without its charms. For the most this park is a "Great lawn" Surrounded with a walk /run/bike path. Also includes tennis, basket ball, and bocce ball courts. A community center of sorts and clean bathrooms are also available. All in all a nice place to just sit an get your "Calm" on.

Very nice local park, recently renovated. People are generally nice and its in a good neighborhood. Has a playground, visitors center, nature center and trail, 1 mile bike and running tracks, as well as tons of sports: baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, handball, etc.

The course has no driving range or restaurant. A round there took about 6 hours. The beverage cart had nothing more than chips for food. The course is not in good shape at all. Tons of hardpan and brown spots all throughout the course. You are better off at a staten island course.

Small hiking trail alongside a salt marsh and tall grass. Trail is loose rocks. During warm season rent a kayak from the kiosk across the street. some nice place to relax and take in the scenary. Nice for family with kids walking and older couples.

Marine Park is a very nice park. It has baseball fields, basketball courts, bocce ball, kids playgrounds, soccer, bike rentals. There are many runners that run laps around the park year round. It feels like the heart of the Marine Park to me.
