The park is really nice, the rides are great for kids, I do recommend parents to take their kids there, however, thats just the park. If you are planing to celebrate your childs birthday there DONT! I celebrated my baby boy 1st birthday there!!! Such a bad idea!!! I was referred from a good friend so I went for it. The guy that I spoke to the day that I went to set up everything for the party, he was really nice, I wish he wouldve been the one there yesterday. (That was the same guy that was there when my friend celebrated her daughters birthday. She was as disappointed as me when she saw what was going on yesterday because that wasnt the way she was treated when she did her party) Thank God the kids had fun, and didnt noticed the bad time "the manager" had us going through reminding us every 15 minutes since we got there what time we needed to leave, like I didnt read my contract. It was so rude and disrespectful how many times this guy interrupted us during the party just to remind us something we already knew, I had to buy an extra 30 mins so he could just leave us alone and that didnt work aether. Not only that being enough, my cousin, kindly asked him if he can turn on the lights so we can sing happy birthday and take pictures, he said that I had to pay extra for that, I reminded him I read and signed the contract and I didnt recall reading that. I paid $435.00 for 2 hours and $50.00 extra for 30 minutes so we could have a good time with fam and friends and this guy, "The Manager" just made it impossible. But like I said at the beginning thank God the kids had fun. Thats why I do ecommend the park, the rides are really nice for the kids. But dont waste your money planning a party there.

Even on a overcast day we made it out to this wonderful carousel in Queens. The carousel is a city landmark and all its items are hand carved. You really see the intricate art that goes into each piece. The lil one loved her first carousel ride and being around other kids. There is a snack bar in front and a decent sized event space for parties while today there was a kid party going on. Also a games booth too to win prizes. Carousel rides run only a few dollars. A magic show also occurs in the afternoon. Wonderful carousel in Forest Park with nearby parking. You can always go into the park and playgrounds as well. Makes for a fun afternoon. Youll hear about other bigger name carousels in the city but this one really is a gem and shows the great restoration work that was put into it. Tigers, horses, even family seating on the carousel. Kids loved it.

1 ride for $3 on the carousel. From the park worker, it was explained that this carousel is the 2nd most mystical amongst carousels. Theres a lot of details put into the carousel that you can see. I have never paid that close attention to carousels before but now I will. The park worker was very informative and I learned a lot from our time at the park. I would highly recommend people coming to here to take a look at the masterpiece. Besides this, there wasnt much else to do. Definitely a place for families.

The park is a good park. I take my daughter to the carousel and its a place for families. I attended a childrens birthday party and it was nice. The children was running around and playing. The disappointment came when I saw other patrons drinking open containers of alcohol, smoking weed and walking their dogs on the grounds without cleaning up after their dogs. The dogs was walking and running where the children was playing. The park need to have a more restricted policy on these issues.

Discovered this on a Sunday, and it was EMPTY... I cant understand why?! Its charming, the staff is very obliging, the carousel is a rare beautiful piece of hand-crafted wooden animals that leave even the kids in wonderment... Theres a little train, fair-ground games, etc... Have your next party here, you wont regret it!!

A great place to go on weekends! I was here on Opening day, and it was surprisingly crowd less. Inexpensive food and a small train on the side, its like a little amusement park. Great Staff!

This was my very first carousel. As a child in the early 60s, Forest Park was a regular destination for swings, slides, monkey bars, and the carousel. Very fond memories were created here.
