First thing to note is there are a number of bad reviews spanning several years. That is your first clue - this place has been bad for years. I have been going once or twice a year since it was 9 holes and the clubhouse was a tent, so I have seen the progression from bad to worse. The golf course could be really nice, but they do not maintain it properly. Really too bad because it could be beautiful. It is not challenging either, not necessarily a bad thing depending on your skill level. I still go once or twice a year because I dont need to play anything difficult, but for the price, the condition they keep it in is shameful. So why do I go? Its close to my home and a quick round when I can get out, but I dont recommend it. I always leave complaining about course conditions. The phone system sucks too. I usually get stuck in a continuous loop, it is nearly impossible to get a live person. The one positive is they have a great outdoor bar and restaurant on the 18th green, great for hanging out and having a drink and enjoy the view. Great, that is, when it is open - it seems like they never open until around Memorial Day, despite at least a month if not two of good weekend weather prior to that. And forget about trying to find out if they are open short of driving there - see above note about phone system, and website is not much help either. In short, this place could be awesome, but the management sucks, needs a real overhaul. Im not sure why they would sink all this money into the place and then have such terrible service and maintenance. My guess is they try to make their money off the banquet hall and the rest is just there for show. Ya, I go there once in awhile against my better judgment, but you should avoid it and go somewhere they appreciate the customer.

I had the "pleasure" of working for these "people". After one night of work, I called them the next day and let them know I would not be returning. I also left them my address and let them know to send my paycheck to it. 8 months later... no paycheck and a w-2 sent in the mail!!!! REALLY??? They had the nerve not to pay me, yet sent me a tax form?? So, I tried to call, and they have their phone off the hook to the public (how a business like this dosnt have an answering machine for the public to book parties is still confusing to me)...anyways, drove there and talked to the "event planner and manager" who is the reason I did not wish to work there, and she gave me the run around about how she couldnt find my paycheck. Strange! I would think that being as I received a w-2 that a paycheck was issued for that to happen! I will be calling the IRS and Better Business Bureau and department of labor today! These people are ridiculous and thieves!

Weve enjoyed ourselves here over the past couple years. Food has been very good, expensive, but nice presentation and interesting choices. Not something we do every day, but rather a few times a year. We attended a couple functions at the banquet facility and had a wonderful time on each occasion. Im personally really excited about the golf course expanding to 18 holes in Spring of next year (2012). If you like fast, true, challenging greens then the golf here wont dissapoint. The current 9 is not particularly lengthy, but there is trouble on every single hole so it is a nice challenge -- especially with the lightning fast greens. I have recommended to many friends and all have seemed to enjoy.

Went to a wedding, food was delicious and the venue was beautiful. However, the bartenders used their hands to scoop the ice. I watched one wipe his sweat off his face with his hand and proceed to scoop ice with it. Its 2016, there are things called ice scoops and even if that is too much to ask for, just use the glass. No establishment should be using bare hands as a method to scoop their ice. Also, the bottled drinks were kept cold in the same ice they used to put in our drinks....that they used their hands to scoop out. Hygiene/cleanliness needs to be assessed.

can not even rate as they were unable to meet a the needs of our event. We asked for a quality menu, received a totally unsatisfactory proposal. Met with chef and gave details on quality menu and food and was told that they could not accommodate our needs and were afraid that they would disappoint us but not meeting our needs. Seems strange for a catering business to turn down a good job due to the desire for good food?! Seems like a pretty place but if you only interested in putting out standard convention style quick food.

Dont trust Martins comment and 5-star rating. As a professional marketer, I can guarantee that he is affiliated with the restaurant. No customer, in a review, would use the phrase "... has become the #1 place to eat, drink, and hang out ..." Thats a pitch from an amateur marketer, and a thinly veiled attempt to counter a bad review. Martin, whoever you may be, you disgust me. If they need to worry about their online reviews that badly, you probably shouldnt be eating or having events there.

Good thing they named this place the Lazy Swan. The Ugly Duck would be too obvious. Grounds are unkempt and lacking. For a golf course, you would expect the outdoors to be well maintained. Sadly, it seems this facility needs to finish remodeling and hire a well trained staff before opening to the public. The buildings, location, and potential are there - but I would not trust the most important day of my life to this place.

Had the opportunity to go there during the holidays ....for a company Christmas party. Hor doerves were awful.....meal was very good especially the salmon......but then they served frozen cream puffs ...and cheese cake. We watched them remove the plastic from the top of it. Beautiful view over the golf course and beautiful decorations.

The course is very well maintained and challenging to play. The staff is courteous and helpful and the outdoor bar is great to have a drink with friends after a round of golf. The food is very good, but the service needs a do over.

This is a lovely place. We attended for a class reunion a couple of years ago. The food was good, and the dining area nice. The bar area was a bit tight with a good size group, but otherwise good.
