Its a true gem. The wine list is unusual and obviously very well thought out. They have wines from the far reaches of the world; the staff is very knowledgeable and will always let you try something to make sure you like it before you purchase a glass. The cheese and charcuterie are great but make sure you also try the olive oil flight. It has Spanish, Greek and Italian oils with salt and bread. Its really interesting to taste the differences in the oils.

Good wine selection. Much of the bottle list is surprisingly pricey, but there are some good bottles in the $30-40 range and plenty by the glad options. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable too, and make a perfectly serviceable cheeseplate. As a added bonus, the upstairs cocktail bar, cheshire, is amazing.

I cannot recommend Solera enough. Every time Ive gone Ive had wonderful service and a great experience talking about the wine. The staff is knowledgeable, nice, and keeps me coming back. I especially love the Monday cheese board special!

Cheshire (upstairs) is a fantastic cocktail bar. Every time I come to Rochester, I *must* come here. I keep thinking that I will see it on National Best Cocktail Bar lists... still not yet, but is only a matter of time.

The Monday & Tuesday guys are great conversationalists and have fantastic wine recommendations based on what youre in the mood for. Its a great hang out atmosphere for any group or to go and enjoy a glass solo.
