Newburgh Brewing Companys space is awesome. Large sweeping views of the Hudson along the windows with a long ledge covering the whole wall, a ton of open ceiling space, lots of beer hall tables and a decent sized bar anchoring one end of the huge room. Ping pong and cornhole are as popular as ever, and theyve added board games and arcade games (Donkey Kong Jr. and an old WWF game) that you can play for free. There is still live music, and while they are all guitar players for the most part, theyve started booking more bearable acts. The bartenders are mostly people that have been with the company since the beginning, and theyre always happy to let you try different things before ordering. There are tours of the brewery downstairs, but I havent done one yet. Their lineup started very basic, but has grown quite diverse. For instance, they have starter beers like their cream ale and their brown ale, solid craft beers like Newburton IPA (english IPA) and Von Steubens Gose (a light, tangy, rarely seen german style), and more intense stuff like their Aces Wild (double cream ale dry hopped with Sorachi Ace hops) and Roggensauer (a berliner-weisse sour brewed with all rye and brettanomyces). This is a significant evolution from their original English-leaning session beer concept, but it a sign of positive growth while catering to their customer base. They dont have everything on tap at once at this point, but they have 10-15 beers available at a time and are constantly rotating in old favorites along with the new. I love that you can check whats in their tanks on their website, and their Facebook page is very helpful in letting you know whats available as well. All beers are $5, and they range from pints to goblets to half pint glasses, with the pours generally being generous at the price point. I have tried every beer that they have released since theyve opened, excluding the few most recent ones which I will be rectifying soon. Of the twenty Ive had, 11 are at least solid choices on any bar menu, with 6 of those being really outstanding. This is pretty damn good for a new brewery considering that Im comparing them to the larger craft beer landscape. Only 3 beers I didnt like outright, and those sounded iffy from the get-go (looking at you Old Tjikko). The food menu has expanded since they opened, and while it remains a bit shaky, it seems to have gotten better. They stuck to the numbered tables concept, which is fine but can be challenging for the servers, some who have to walk long distances while holding hot food! Their fries, grilled cheese, bratwurst, and pretzels stick out to me as good, while I dont care for their mussels. They got rid of their waffles which my family absolutely loved. Its also nice to know where your food is coming from, even if their local-vore rhetoric is tiresome at times. All said, this place has done Newburgh well thus far.

The Newburgh Brewery is a well-kept, delightful secret. However, it wont be for long. The place is reminiscent of the beer halls of old (as seen in old movies), with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The beer choices live up to the detailed descriptions provided of them. Seating, on benches at long tables, and encourages lighthearted conversations and camaraderie. The two man band (Joe Paj) was wonderful. The games... Ping-Pong, bean bag toss, board games... to name a few...all provided another avenue of amusement. The staff is pleasant, personable and proficient. All in all… a most enjoyable evening.

We take all our visitors here. Great atmosphere and very original selection of beers. In an old warehouse/factory that has been repurposed. Large communal tables. Frequently there is live music and events going on. Cornhole and foosball available inside. No patio but has an open-air feel to it with the tall ceiling and large windows that give good views of the Hudson River. Also a decent place to grab some snacks to go along with the great beer. Dont let the outside and adjacent neighborhood fool you. The best brewery in the area.

Beer was pretty good but the food is awful. My chicken sandwich was cold and so dry (seemed microwaved) and on a stale huge bun with the butt of a tomato slice. I had to send it back it was so horrible and not worth $14. My boyfriends brautwurst was also disappointing, also on a huge stale bun with same amount of cabbage (not the advertised sauerkraut). The quesadilla and poutine were pretty good, but definitely not worth the trip.

We were lucky enough to have our daughters wedding here. The place was PERFECT! Great venue for a fun & meaningful event. The entire staff was AMAZING from the planning process, details and delivery. The day-of the wedding they were SPECTACULAR! My entire family and some 120 friends were blown away by the experience. If you are looking for the right place for your special event...Newburgh Brewing Co is it...period.

Beer and food were ok, definitely not worth the price we paid. My chief complaint is the logistics of the place. It is an open room with big tables and no assigned seating definitely not suited for a sit down dinner if that is what you are looking for. Slow line at the bar to order drinks and food

They have a good variety of beer and good food too. Were from New Jersey where breweries cannot serve food, so this came as a nice surprise. The place is large and spacious, and they have good music bands performing in the evenings. Its a good place to visit after kayaking on the Hudson.

This is one of our must visit places when touring friends around the Hudson valley. The beers are always nice, the building is so neat and having board games is a plus. We usually come during the winter and didnt notice that they dont have A/C here, that would be a nice thing to add.

Beautiful location, especially the view. The surrounding neighborhood isnt the safest but this location is good. A big array of beer selections even with sours mixed in too. Service is good. Plenty of seating for larger groups. Trivia night is fun here. The food could be a bit better.

Our areas own brewery! They have some great beer for all tastes. The taproom is huge, has big wooden tables to promote socializing and good times over a pint. They even have ping pong tables! Its such a relaxing change from some of the bars on the waterfront.

Nice place physically. No table service nor insight how to order. Food was not good at all (pretzel and nachos) they came out in like 3 minutes. Mustard was thick and tasteless. The nachos were cold and the sour cream seemed watery and gritty. Blah

Really fun brewery with good beers. The space is huge with tons of picnic tables inside and cornhole. Check the hours before you go though - they keep fairly limited hours outside of Friday and Saturday.

Its a spot I frequent a lot due to the great beer selection they brew here and many of the events that are held throughout the month. Even during the day, its still a good spot to grab a bite and beer.

The Taproom has a great atmosphere. The food is very good and they regularly have special menu items. Of course the main reason to go to a brewery is the beer and all the beers have been outstanding!
