Overall I had a good time at Frames. I came here with the co workers last night and since there was a long wait for bowling we decided to shoot some pool while we waited about and hour and a half. We ordered some drinks/food and killed time in the pool table area. I got the chicken strips with fries which came out to $25. Pretty steep but the food was very good. The chicken strips were very large and they were delicious. Seasoned and breaded nicely. They fries were also seasoned well. The food was far better than I expected from a bowling alley. They tell you its a 2 drink minimum per person if your using the pool table, but since our server was pretty much non existent I dont know how they enforce that. And about those drinks, a beer here is about $11-$12 . Yeah I know where Im at, tourist trap central midtown. But its still slightly more than I would expect to pay for a beer. It wouldnt prevent me from returning though. They had a larger selection of beers on tap than most places like this. I went with the Bronx autum Pale ale. I really liked this beer, too bad its seasonal. Let me get to why we came here, BOWLING! when it was finally time to claim our lane my party of about 10 all crammed into one game. Its cool that they will let you fit as many people as you want into your lane. You pay for an hour (or 2) and when the time is up the game ends. We had a good time bowling. The DJ was pretty good and that helped. He did a really good job playing songs that catered to a mainstream crowd but still slipped in some reggae/dancehall/hip hop and Rnb. I definitely felt like I was In NYC based on what he was playing and not at some Applebees in Wisconsin the way other DJs can make you feel with there generic selections. I had a great time but theres just one transgression. Their automatic gratuity that is not disclosed clearly enough. I wound up paying 18% gratuity AND tipping the bar tender. Its disclosed on the Menu somewhere that you would only see if you were looking for something on that particular part of the menu. They need to have a sign or something because it seems like they are trying to sneak that in. They lost a star from me for this disingenuous practice. The Experience was about 4 stars but Im deducting a star for their sneaky gratuity.

Very nice place. I came here with my family and from beginning to end the service was HORRIBLE!!!! They were out of socks so I left my husband and daughter inside to get started while I went on a hunt for socks outside. I came back 20 minutes later and their iPad was not working so they didnt get to see the menu to order food. We informed the front desk that our iPad was not working and then waited another 20 minutes to get menus. Once we were ready to order we waited another 15 minutes for someone to come take our order, which never happened so we ordered at the front desk. There was another family who came right in and got serviced the same time as we did. Even though we were already there over an hour before them. When our food came out, the other familys food came out as well. After our second game, the waiter came and gave us a kid ball for our daughter, only because he was bringing one for the other family, who came an hour after us. The waiter was rude and barely came over to see how we were doing. Overall the place is great but the service was absolutely HORRIBLE!

I left Bowlmor Lanes to meet up with a friend here. Place looks very nice. The ambience gave me a feeling that made me think "I would definitely like to try this place again." Right now there is a weekend deal to bowl for 2 hours and you would receive beer and a tasting plate. Something I would like to try next time if it is still going on. The location is very convenient, right above port authority. So if you take the subway, youll be right there. The bowling alley was nice. There were monitors above the pins playing music videos of the songs there playing and the food here is okay. I just had the cheeseburger sliders.

My sister decided to celebrate her Birthday here...about 13 ppl attended and we booked a party for over $500 for 2 hours ..we arrived a little late like 20mins they definitely made sure they CUTT our GAMES OFF right at the time!! So pissed we didnt even get to see score and who won! So I approached the manager and he looked so lost about letting us finish our game,he stated that he had another party coming in but there were so many free lanes available... Probably wont go back and for the money we spent it was so not worth it!!!! Its a nice place overall but you better be PUNCTUAL!!!

I came here with a friend to play a couple of games before having lunch. The place wasnt packed but we were the only ones waiting to purchase a couple of rounds. The two cashier ignored us for a good portion of the time and was talking to each other. When another group of people came to play, they took them over us and made us wait even longer. The shoes and lanes were decrepit. Our computer kept freezing along with the machine to place new pins. We spent more time waiting for them to fix the issue than we got to play. The food and beverages were okay, but pricey for what they were.

I never thought Id say it, but Frames is one of the few places where you actually feel classy while bowling. The place has a full bar plus bowling (which seems like it could be a bad idea but ends up being great) and its even got ipad-like kiosks where you can order bottle service. The service is friendly and quick to respond to technical issues and I was actually kind of impressed at the state of the bowling technology (it wasnt painstakingly difficult to adjust the game once it had started). Its a fun place to go though I cant comment on price. Who knew bowling could be "cool"?

If you are a intense bowler like myself this place really wont be a good fit. This is a very casual bowler area,. For this frames, it is purely the experience that will make you want to keep coming back. Although it is fun going in an elevator to get to the bowling alley. They have a sperate address and two lanes for private events. Prices are what I would expect for the area, and experience. Would never pay as high a price of it were just bowling. Would that recommend getting a reservation ahead of time though. Hard just walking through the door and getting a lane.

Cool place to bowl. Atmoshphere was hot, as in temp. My friends and i were sweating while bowling. But more importantly, the bar tender, a blonde lady conned me out of my money. I didnt realize what actually took place til i got home and saw the receipt. Basically i gave her 40, she cashed me out on the receipt as paying 30.45, she gave me back change of 4 dollars and some change. Im more than sure she knew what she was doing, and pocketed about $10. Fair warning, pay attention to the change u get back. Hopefully she gets hit with karma.
