Love this place. Learned to mountain bike here and still ride there to this day. They have created structure to the web of trails there by making a few colored loops. Get out and ride it. Parking fee there and locals are bitchy about parking on the street and everywhere in town charges or is timed. I used to park in the shopping center parking lot next to the library before a shop owned started giving me jazz. My advice is either, park there and take the jazz or park north of the park and take the Greenbelt trail in. You can find where to park right on youre google maps. Find Bethpage park and follow the dark green north till it crosses a street. There are I believe 3 street crossings before you hit the lie. Happy riding.

I went there to summer camp a while ago. For summer camp they only offer western riding. The lesson horses are overworked, and the stable is run down. The trail rides are nice. We learned how to groom and tack horses but we never did this before/after we rode. We always practiced on the same horses, while the others continued to work. So some of the working horses never got a proper grooming. We ride either once in the indoor ring and once on a trail, or twice in the indoor arena. At the end of the week there is a "horse show" showing the parents what they learned. In camp you learn how to walk around barrels (barrel racing), and if you know how to trot you cant move ahead because the others dont know how to ride.

Great place for the money. All five courses are great. If you are looking for a enjoyable round, try the yellow or the green. The Blue and the Red are more challenging and the Black is for the most experienced as the sign says. I have found the staff to be very helpful and pleasant. The cashiers and supervisory staff are there and will give you all the answers that you need. The maintenance staff on the golf course have also been very helpful. Give it a try!!!

I have played around and this is the best golf course that I know. A true test for the real golfer and probably a nightmare for a beginner. The thing I liked about this course is that everything is right in your face, no need for blind shots because this monster don´t need to hide from you. The first par 5 is probably the most beautiful hole in the game without the help of an ocean view...

I do not know where to begin. This is ordinary mens dream golf course. As you seen on TV, this place is grandiose, and challenges every skill of golf; driving, long iron, accurate scoring iron, bunker shot, and how to deal with uneven lie. Black course is worth every penny. It will be challenging, but you will end your round as a happy man.

Beautiful place for walking, jogging or biking the path even with the smallest children any time of the year. The sight, smells, sounds of nature are incredibly therapeutic to the soul. Just a walk and a talk with a friend, or having a solo photography session is worth ditching your phone for an hour.

Beautiful state park with a lot to do. Plenty of biking trails (paved and dirt ones alike), playground, open fields, hiking trails, and picnic tables. A lot of people seem to park outside the park entrance on the residential side streets and biking from there as opposed to paying for entry.

Brought the family here for a Sunday afternoon stroll. Clean paved roads or you can veer off into the dirt paths that are marked. Also saw many bikers, liked that the park thought to mark and highlight tree roots and rocks that may cause a bumpy or dangerous.

This course met all expectations as far as being a great layout and it was in really good shape when we played....but I didnt think it was nearly as difficult as everyone makes it out to be....go play the Ocean Course and then we will talk hard golf courses...

I have very fond memories of Bethpage State Park as a young boy riding my 10 speed bike on a most memorable trail from Massapequa Park (Pittsburg Rd Entrance) to the Park. When I was old enough I played golf on the Green course Great life time memories!

I love almost all the courses at Bethpage with the exception of Yellow. Its a one of the great reasons to live in NY. Bethpage is a gem and Im very grateful to have it. Only issue is how long it takes to play a round on the weekend...

Ive only gone there for running or biking, so can only comment on the trials. You can go north or south and create as long a run or ride you want. I did half a marathon by going north which had a good combination of slopes and flats

Judging it from a biking aspect, it has great looong bike paths for road, with alternate off road trails for mountain biking and some cyclocross. Just need to explore. Not all in one day

The Black was an unbelievable course and a great value. Highly recommend getting a caddie for your first round. Green is a nice layout, pretty open and a good warmup for the Black.

Played the Black course in early June and as always, it was incredible. Immaculate tees, fairways and greens. Bunkers, rough, etc. all in perfect condition. Nothing beats it.

Country club quality facility at state park prices. The Black Course is world famous for $75 for a NYS resident. A comparable course is $200 plus elsewhere.

We love the bike and walking trails. We went there on a sunny Sunday in August. The trails are mostly in shades and we enjoyed the breeze.

Beautiful place to have an event. Unimpressed with food and drinks. Went to a charity event here and it looked like a lovely place.
