Since Im a positive and fair person, I will start with the pros: - awesome roller and ice rinks - great pool - decent fitness equipment and facilities for the price -mini golf and bungee trampoline Cons: - Ever since it went from a YMCA to WCC, there appears to be a serious disconnect between the Woodbridge Recreation Dept and the community centers front desk staff. Rarely do I see someone over the age of 18 working the desk - and when i have called for information, rarely get a straight or correct answer. Case in point, our 4 year old signed up for the 10-week Friday night ballet class this spring (2016) and it was cancelled for Memorial Day weekend. Im not annoyed it was cancelled, but rather that when i called earlier in the day to confirm it was happening as scheduled, was told "yes". Myself and 3 other parents all showed up for class only to find nobody was there and it was in fact cancelled. When I mentioned this to the desk, one teenager apologized and another actually rolled her eyes at me. Seriously? Why didnt the teacher or faculty call or text the parents ? As for the class itself, the teacher is young and bubbly, but what they are doing in there hardly constitutes ballet. The class at The Club in Woodbridge actually brought a bar in for the girls to use. This is not hard to do. They basically spend the 45 mins running back and forth or holding hands in a circle. And the viewing area is a single small doorway that some of the more rude parents shove their way into, regardless of whether someone else is already standing there or not. Id never enroll my children in another rec class there again. The Club across the street is a million times better for that, and similarly priced. - the free "child care" provided during a workout is offered at less than ideal hours for parents of smaller children. It is only available for parents wanting to workout or take a class after 530pm during the week (possibly even later... Ive been told something different each time I call). I have four children under 6 years old and 530-7 is dinner and bath time. Bed by 730/8. Once again, The Club across the street offers members free daycare for up to 2 hours at a time throughout the day. If The Club is open, so is the childcare. How much more what it cost to pay a teen minimum wage to cover more childcare hours at the WCC? Even if they charged members an additional flat monthly rate for this service? The WCC is more concerned with pushing their daycare and pre-k agendas that they are neglecting a core member need. - The WCC monthly fees are not much less than they were when it was a YMCA, may be even more now, and you cant use your membership anywhere else.

Parties are poorly coordinated. Management is very rude, the process in which they tally or report # of guest is done inaccurately. They tried to charge me for a party of 19, which I rsvpd 15, but 13 only showed up ( they charge for # of guest that show, party kid free) I did not appreciate paying for a Hostess in my package, but basically running the party myself. My hostess was not available to do her job well for my group, because she was very,very busy with another party that came in AFTER my group was seated. Management never came to support their staff member. When they did come to inquire about my disdain, she basically told me that the hostess is trained to handle 2 parties at a time. How is that my problem? It isnt. I will not be returning to This center for ANYTHING.

The management at this place is god awful. They dont know how to manage anything and cannot seem to make up their minds about rules. I was there for adult open hockey and they told all the younger kids they were aloud to play and they all suited up and then they changed their minds and kicked them out. Bu they decided to let some stay on because they were "nice" about it. The kids they kicked off were not given refunds because the managers decided to go hide in their offices during this dilemma instead of staying at the desk and helping solve the issue. I do NOT recommend ever going to this place.

I got my kid admitted for swimming lesson. For beginner its not a good idea to learn swimming here. The instructors seems to be just hired without proper training. They don;t pay full attention to learning aspects. its like completing the schedules they are allotted to. I cant say all trainers are same. I see some trainers were really good. We noticed that the examiner were asking some of the techniques which were never learnt in the class. Most frustrating is no one cares and I do not see any one monitoring the performance of the trainer or to listen to parents concerns.

A Private User

Skating is interrupted for about 15-20 minutes for staging each birthday party event that they have running lot of the time. This facility also changes their schedule as much they like, so if you are taking group lessons expect your schedule might change. Quality of group lessons is very poor as instructors are not very motivated! Music is loud. If these dont faze you, then enjoy.

Giving this place a one star because the service was absolutely terrible. The ice skating rink was good, not too many people but the lady at the food counter was very rude. She threw the change into my hand. I ordered 2 burgers and a small fry for me and my girlfriend and we waited 20 minutes for it. 20 minutes to get burnt burgers the size of hockey pucks. Unbelievable.

This place sucks you go call and ask what time open hockey ends then the tell you 1 am and it ends at 12 and your stranded there in the middle of the night waiting for a ride home. The service sucks they basically hire any guy who can skate as an ice guard and have very bad service at the front desk

Good gym, basketball court, indoor swimming, indoor running/walking track. I would give this more stars if it had a place where I could change into my workout clothes after work. The only choice is to change by the pool (where everything is wet including the floor) or a toilet stall.

Beware of the pre-teen crowds. We made the mistake of coming late and boy did we regret it. One boy had his hands down a girls pants, feet away from my family and I. I cannot begin to describe my horror. Perhaps the staff should walk around and tame these wild crowds.

The staff at the roller skating rink were awesome! Attended a birthday party there and the staff were very helpful with setting up, making sure kids got fed, making sure we liked the music being played etc. Highly recommended for a private party.

Its an amazing place and has a lot to offer. The staff is very kind and willing to help with any problems or issues you may have. They take all complaints very seriously and try their best to make it a safe community for the family.

Its a nice place! We go for the rollerskating. Have not been to the ice rink yet, but the rollerskating is really nice. One of the better roller rinks around the area, and the music is great! 80s to top hits and they take requests.
