A must see in Princetom! This museum is a five minute walk away from Nassau St., housed in Princetons McCormick Hall. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged. There are extended hours on Thursdays. If you come on a Sunday, meters are free on Nassau St. The museum has an impressive collection of European art, Byzantine art, and Greek vases. Scattered within mix are a few famous names like Monet, Degas, and Picasso. My favorite section was the contemporary artwork, although it was small. Plan to spend a couple hours here!

Small, free collection. You can enjoy this museum in several hours. Has a small gift shop in front. Suggested donation per person is $5. There is a free lot on campus but it was full. I would recommend parking in the parking garage near Tulane Street and then crossing Nassau Street as the entrance to the museum is basically a straight shot from Tulane Street into campus. We wasted time looking for parking.

Definitely an impressive collection in terms of variety and age. Seldom crowded at all; the tours usually mention and then skip past it, so its a great place to duck into the air conditioning and out of the summer throngs. Also a good first-date spot, after youve strolled over and finished your treat from one of the local ice cream joints.

Look, its Princeton University. The art is top notch. The permanent collection is fabulous and spans every continent (except maybe Australia and Antarctica). Its free. They have programs for kids on Saturday mornings. They have guides for kids to look at art. Its free. Its big enough to be interesting but small enough to handle. Love it.

This museum has famous works I didnt expect to find outside of NYC or other big museum and admission is FREE. P.U.A.M. is located on the beautiful Princeton University campus, just a short walk off the main street and square in downtown Princeton, where there are plenty of places to eat, shop and enjoy too. *Highly Recommend

Great exhibits-- excellent inspiration! It was a really great day at the museum, everyone was very friendly! They have fold up chairs, you can use while youre there, to sit in front of something you want to draw...My boyfriend brought his younger siblings with us, and they loved it too!:) Well be back soon!

A hidden gem in Princeton. If you have spare time, definitely pass through, even if you have gone before as they keep changing it up. If you are looking to kill any period of time, its a good stop. They have some guided tours for free which are pretty good

A great museum featuring some fantastic pieces of art. Almost every piece features a description (past what the piece is), which is super nice. Free admittance and free storage for backpacks and assorted other things you dont need to bring in.

Excellent permanent collection -- especially the world cultures on exhibit downstairs. Also, seen several outstanding traveling exhibitions in the front gallery. The building itself is well-designed, a very fine place to view the work.

A museum of a manageable size, with a varied collection, including things like non-Western (African, etc.) and medieval European sculpture, contemporary art, as well as the standard paintings collection. Also free, and in a nice setting.

A small collection, have pieces represent all style and time periods, some of them are very high quality. Not a place one should make a trip to visit, but if a art lover happen to be in the area, it is definitely worth a visit.

Superb collection, but most recently we were not able to bring in our 6 month old daughters milk bottle and baby carriage. This wonderful museum was more child friendly not long time ago.

Had no idea the local museum had some of the best impressionist paintings in the world-- works by Money, Manet, etc. Highly recommended and great kids program offered periodically...

The art and exhibition pieces rotate regularly (but not completely) so you can see new things even if youve been before. The downstairs had artifacts and the upstairs had paintings.

Being an art noob I really enjoyed how the museum was laid out with clear signs of what was where and the time period. A great collection from my perspective. Plus it was free!
