We had our wedding at the Running Deer Golf Club.on 12-9-11. Everything was excellent, the Running Deer team did an awesome job. EXCEPT, we used their house bakery for the wedding cake The Sweet Life Bakery. We were told that we did not need to keep the top of the cake because they would make us one for our 1st anniversary...well its here...1 year tomorrow. We went today to pick up the cake from Sweet Life and were handed this off white cake with flowers and butterflys..(mind you we had a winter snow flake wedding with a white snowflake cake.) This cake said Happy Anniversary it looked like it was a left over cake from fall. We asked what happen and were told by the owner that they cant remember every cake they do and thats not what is suppose to be done. And that this cake would taste good...(great customer service huh) well thanks for ruining my 1st year Anniversary Sweet Life

Went back and forth with three and four stars and then realized that I was penalizing the course for its location, so I went with four. Played the course two weeks ago. They had two weddings on the same day and parking was a mess. The course was in OK shape, not great, but no major issues either. Greens had recently been aerated, so its tough to gauge what theyll be like when they come back. The course typically is well-maintained. The staff are friendly. Its not the hardest test of golf that youll ever face, but it keeps your interest. That fourth star is probably for the friendliness of the staff and the fact that the course does have an interesting design.

ok so the golf course is great. i used to live in running deer and play it all the time. so i decided to work there and see how everything goes down. first off the management is terrible but not the pro shop. bj has no clue what hes doing. plates are dirty there cause for some reason they do not want to buy a new dishwasher so even glasses forks spoons and knives also r dirty. food went downhill a lot this is a great place to golf but eating here is not. unless u want to get sick from dirty plates and glasses. food is not even enjoyable. i know someone that still works there that said that 10 people got sicks from the nuri virus for the dirty plates and all that

ok, kind of interesting layout but sooo many bunkers placed looked to be almost an afterthought, tons of crowned greens so if you go over slightly your ball will roll off the back over the cart paths and then into the woods, i think Southern NJ has had a tough time with weather this year but this course was/is in HORRIBLE condition, i would say 50% of the course would be ground under repair on most courses, too bad, not sure i would go back, I am a 4 handicap but i would not recommend this course for anyone over a 20 handicap or so under any conditions, just not enjoyable.

I recently attended a wedding at Running Deer, I absolutely loved it and had to review it on here. The food (appetizers for cocktail hour were so delicious), service (staff were very friendly and attentive) and facility (gorgeous outside ceremony space and ballroom) were a notch above the rest! I will definitely keep them at the top of the list for any future functions!

My husband and I recently had our wedding at Running Deer. Our experience could not have been better. The staff made such a stressful time, less stressful. They went above and beyond to make our day extra special. The course is one of my husbands favorites. I would recommend Running Deer to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue or a relaxing day of golf!

We had our golf outing at Running Deer last summer, it was top notch! From the planning, to the golf to the food, everything was awesome and ran so smoothly! If your looking for a well maintained course with plush tee boxes, fairways & fast greens...look no further! Challenging but fair track! Very playable for a high handicapper but you will be but to the test! RUNNING DEER GC did everything but DISAPPOINT!!!!

Course maintenance is flawless with some of the best greens anywhere. The practice facilities are great, the dining facilities are phenomenal, and the customer service is excellent. This course has the look and the feel of a PGA grade course.

I was very excited to have any daughters baby shower here and everything was great until some of my guests found a live roach crawling on the cake table. I was so embarrassed and could not believe it. I dont think I can ever go back there.

Probably the best place in South Jersey to have a wedding. Everywhere you look is a photo op. Delicious food and an amazing staff that will treat you like royalty.
