Dont judge a book by its cover. Baywood looks spectacular but it left something to be desired. We were told that we had to stay on the cart path for 2 holes. After hole number 1 the Marshall came to tell us that we had to stay on the cart path for all 18 holes. To make matters worse, the greens had been aerated two days prior to our golf outing. The greens were in horrible shape with the plugs all over the greens. To make matter worse, we had to work around the maintenance crew rather than the other way around. Why we werent told about the conditions of the greens when we booked is a mystery. Why the maintenance crew has no golf etiquette is a mystery. I regret we did not ask for some compensation.

A Private User

My party reserved a tee time at 7:51 a.m. We arrived at the golf course, mind you which was gorgeous, a little late. We expected to be pushed back into a later time. Instead they herded us off onto the second hole. I may be old fashioned but, in all of my 30 years of golfing I have never been put in a similar position. Then when we got to the second hole we had to wait for the previous group to finish. What bothered me the most was that we played 17 holes not the full 18 holes. Golf without an 18th hole is baseball without a 9th inning. Other then that the course was very well maintained.

Very nice course, good layout and very good greens. Only complaint is the Superintendent wouldnt reconsider cart path only conditions. The day before we played it rained quite a bit but the drainage did its job and the place was dry. I asked if theyd change to 90 degree later in the day and was told he NEVER does that. Too bad, they take the easy way for them and the hard way for the golfers.

Golfing was great.....however the restaurant was terrible. The food is grossly overpriced for the amount you get and the quality was mediocre. I had the salmon and received a sliver of meat for $26.00 and any side items were $4.00 more. Two others in my party order the chicken and received one small breast for $21.00, I believe and again, any side items were $4.00 additional.

Most visually spectacular golf course I have played. Course is so beautifully manicured and the abundance of flowers lining the tee boxes and course just takes the experience over the top. Private club for the day level of service and all else made the 3 1/2 hour drive from North Jersey totally worth it. I will absolutely, enthusiastically return!

Great course - rude staff What is it with Starters anyways that they think you need to kiss their ass in order to have the privilege to play the course. Forget the $100 greens fees. Im tired of being lectured too about the rules and being bossed around. We play golf, we know the rules. How about some courtesy and appreciation for the customer.

A great public course that makes you feel like a VIP at a private country club from start to finish. Every aspect of this place warrants a 5 stars rating. First time playing it and will be driving the 4 hrs from NY to play it again. Lived up to my high expectations

Absolutely beautiful course. I golf a lot and have played top courses in numerous states and this is one of my top 3. You will certainly not be disappointed. The staff was very friendly. Just play it and see for yourself.
