This place is a little gem. It isnt large, but it is packed with interesting historical exhibits and items showcasing the fascinating back story on Paterson. There is a little something for most nerds - trains, industry, military, guns, vintage medicine, Founding Fathers, etc. There are 2 locomotives parked outside! It is located one block from the Great Falls park, so this could be a nice afternoon break from walking around the falls. There was no air conditioning, though, so it was a little warm inside. Plus side, no crowds. It was free to enter, suggested donation $2 per adult.

Great local museum with plenty of interesting exhibits. Located in the historic Rogers Locomotive Works there are exhibits covering the city of Paterson and its rise as the first United States city of the Industrial Revolution. They outline the growth from its role in the Revolutionary War and its becoming a powerhouse in the Civil War era.

nice little museum that is heavy on artifacts from its industrial days. Also the sub holland and railroad items. However for a history museum it is curious that it leaves out the labor strife, race riots, hurricane carter ,etc. They have costello but not allen ginsburg. .Seems to be a bit of selective memory.

Having been raised in New Jersey, my husband and I decided to go here and see what could possibly be here. To our surprise this place was a delight and it should be a great place to take the kids to learn a little bit about the area.

Great little museum. See artifacts from Pattersons days as the industrial center of the country like Colt pistols, locomotives and silk production. Dont miss the Great Falls!

Will give it 4 or 5 stars on the October 9 th after Bud Abbotts Birthday celebration, but only if Lou Costellos home town Paterson New Jersey has him prominently represented.

Nice local museum in Paterson by the Paterson Falls. It is mainly about the industrial history of Paterson. The best part is that its free.
