I was comparing prices in downtown Jersey City that were convenient for my wife and I. All the full time locations were $1200+. I had seen these schools groups at parks and such. They also had a 6 month - 1 year waiting list. When we came across the JCC we decided even with the added fees which give you access to work out equipment and pool, that it would be worth it. They do usually have TV time once a day usually the last 30-60 minutes while teachers fill out daily evaluations etc. I cant speak to all the teachers, and I used to see some young people that I questioned if they were appropriate for the school all of whom I havent seen in about a month. Miss Charlene, Alissa Mary and Darlene have been great. The new director Sandra is young and fresh and seems full of passion to be on par with any comparable school and care center. Miss Charlene has an excellent focus on development all around including potty training if necessary for those still working on it. Yes our daughter has picked up some things from other kids, some cute some not but more important shes made good friends with good kids has learned to write most of her letters, making lots of crafts, many new ones every week. Improved spelling capabilities and she got to go to build a bear and now Disney on ice. The school now has enrichment activities including computer, dance, and language learning like French. My wife and I are very happy and feel we made the right decision for this stage in our daughters life.

Slow education & unprofessional. I moved into Bayonne a year ago and want the best for my child. I was willing to pay the member fee which was a bit pricey just for my child to get a good head start on her education. She didnt learn more than what she already knew, plus she told me she watches TV a lot. If they were to put my child in front of a TV, i could just keep her home at no cost. I questioned the school & the coodinator Nina replies thats only during break time. They have a bunch of teenagers running around the school, always on their mobile phone & cursing in front of the toddlers. When my daughter came home saying the b word, I complained to the school but they directed me to Nina which did not take my call. I took her out after 3 months but was unable to refund my member fee. I rather lose the membership fee than keep my child around this type of environment. They are no more than just a school looking to make easy money. Try YMCA programs, they are little more active and the staff arent teenagers.

I sent my little girl to the preschool program here. They were terrific with her, and we felt she was getting great care and education. Its a clean, safe place with a professional staff that really care about childcare. The facility itself is okay, and the pool was perfect for swim classes with the little one. Parking, on the other hand, is a nightmare. School drop off and pick up were the most frustrating part of the day.
