This is located in the W Hotel, and accessed by a dedicated elevator. You can get tickets at the front desk. The real attraction is the observation deck, the museum is small and not very impressive. It does have some interesting tidbits about Minneapolis history, the Foshay building, and its founder. The observation deck is neat. Maybe not as tall as other monuments or observation decks, but offers a great view of Minneapolis. When we went, it was midday on a Friday, and we spent about 20 minutes on the observation deck, completely alone. It was like a private experience, and despite being cold outside, the observation deck was bearable without a coat. We were able to get up for free as hotel guests. Im not sure if there are other discounts, but in February 2017, they were charging $8/adult to access the museum/observation deck. If you are in the Foshay, its also worth checking out the bar on the 27th floor. Great views and historic vibe.

What a great experience, tons to read and learn in the museum, worth the price to me. Being to look out and see all of the city was a site that took my breath away! If you are afraid of heights I do not recommend this. You start out by going 30 stories up in a elevator then it puts you right in the museum. Once you finished looking through the museum you can walk up another couple flights of stairs you get to push the door open to the caged in observatory. Its a little cramped on space but definitely a ton of fun! Highly recommend!

BEAUTIFUL observation tower perched on the first skyscraper in Mpls. They even have a delightful display with historical artifacts, news clippings, and videos. Lovely art deco architecture throughout. After youre done, head downstairs for delicious pie and coffee at Keys Cafe, or grab a meal. You wont be disappointed!

This is a neat place to visit for locals who appreciate the history of Foshay and the growth of our city. The museum part is very interesting and the outdoor views are generally very good. Out of town visitors may not be all that impressed, especially if they have visited some of the more iconic buildings in the US.

we turned up to see the museum and view after checking opening times on the official website only to be advised that it is closed for maintenance until the start of February this is information that should be displayed on the website so people do not waste their time

Awesome views are available from the Foshay Observation Deck, which sits atop this art deco historic skyscraper. There was a time when this was the tallest building in Minneapolis. Visiting the museum and outdoor observation deck will take you back in time.

Neat place to get a snippet of history behind one of Minneapolis influential figures. Views from outdoor observation deck can be had year round. Check out the speakeasy after the view!

Cheap. $5 a person (student price) to go the the 31st floor. The museum isnt anything much to look at so you can unregretfully skip that. Other than that... Cool 360 view of Downtown!

Its within the Westin hotel. I had to go to the front desk and they give you a key to use the elevator to go to the 30th floor. Good view.
