This place is really amazing... And free! It was really interesting to learn about the history of mining in Michigan (my great grandparents were Irish immigrants who worked in the mines), as well as some of the phenomenal geology behind these mines.
This year was the first time we stopped at this museum. It was a pleasant find. The exhibits and the history they portray were well done and interesting.
Lots of interesting items and displays covering the history of Michigans Iron Mining Industry. Well lit and comfortable.
When I walked in I was reminded of the Detroit Historical Museum only better. The grounds and the building are gorgeous.
This museum is really cool. It has great information and is super interesting! Its a nice way to kill a rainy UP day.
This is an engaging and interesting museum. I cant recommend it enough. Lots of artifacts and history. Great layout!
Very informative, although Im pretty sure that someone urinated inside the mine display at the end.
Free admission. Its a cool little museum with some nature trails.
Great place to learn about the U.P. Mining industry!!
