Potential, but needs some work. I am a decent golfer who can shoot below 80, but typically shoots in the mid to upper eighties. Inkster Valley has a pretty layout and can be very challenging from the tips. There is a huge difference between playing the whites and the blues. Beyond the potential of the course, I felt that management needs to do a better job with course maintenance. There are too many blind shots that make it too difficult to know where to hit the ball unless you play the course frequently. I really dont know what a golfer would do if they dont play the course frequently without all my high tech gear (GPS and rangefinder). The course could definitely use better markers to tell golfers where to hit the ball. Also, the blind shots could be improved if they would cut down some of the wayward growth in the hazards. Its irritating when plant growth is so high you cant even see the layout of the green and where to hit the ball (true even on a par three). The greens were disappointingly slow, and some of the greens had bad spots on them. For the better golfer, there are better courses in the area with better maintenance and better greens. For the beginner/hacker, you are better off playing an easier course without all the excessive guesswork. My partner (novice) lost an extraordinary amount of balls due to all the hazards. All in all, after taking six hours to play 18 holes, I dont think I will be rushing back to Inkster Valley. There are other better courses in the area (e.g., Northville Hills, Lyon Oaks, Eagle Crest, Golden Fox, etc.) to play that will leave you feeling happy that you took the time to play some golf.

I guess the owner is forgetting where this golf course is located. I called today and asked what the greens fees were, only to find out they were raised a considerable amount from last year. This was my home course throughout all of high-school and I grew quite fond of it. After years passed I still played the course and the fees were reasonable. This course is worth 30 dollars at most, on any day. They are now charging 39 on weekdays and 49 on weekends. I nearly fell off my chair with laughter. The more and more I played there the less and less I liked it as well. Constant yelling from the people that live on the course apparently having a barbecue, constant plains flying overhead, constant rap music in the background, I have had enough. Has a lot of holes that are blind shots and it all around is a terrible course. Slow play all the time, minimum of 5 hours for a round of 18. Wont ever be back there again. If you want to go to a reasonable course, go to Gateway in romulas. Very reasonable greens fees and it is maintained a hell of a lot better than this course. And to the reviewer under me, you must have gotten paid a good amount to post that. Michigan has hundreds and hundreds of courses that surpass this dog track. Try eagle crest in Ypsilanti, course is phenomenal and I got out there for 29 dollars. These guys have to be nuts trying to charge this much for a public course in INKSTER. Come on people.

Typically when i have gone to Inkster Valley, the fairways have had mushrooms that can easily be mistaken for balls, and have also had dandelions. The greens have had many ball marks and are poorly maintained. My last time here i did however see a mower out caring for the fairways. The mower was very helpful in pointing out our ball for us. The front 9 is very fun and challenging. plenty of shade, hills, curves, some nasty greens and tends to be oriented for lefties such as myself. The back 9 however provides nearly zero shade with lengthy travel time in the cart. the back is pretty much straight shots with lots of elevation. i enjoy the design of the course but thats about it. the extras on the fairway, lack of cart girl on most days, and lack of shade on back nine earn Inkster Valley a 1... out of 3. I would expect more for $35.

No the greatest layout, most greens are out of sight from the tee. The fairways are not bad, the rough can be rough at times due to bald areas, especially around the green. Dont go if it has rained in the past couple of days. The price is not bad if you book it from the website. Try to keep the ball in the fairway and youll enjoy the course.

This golf course rocks. I have been in Northern Michigan, Florida, and about everywhere else in MI and I will have to say this is one of the best courses I have ever golfed at the price. The staff are extremely helpful and the course is well-groomed. If you want upper Michigan golfing in lower MI, then consider Inkster Valley.

This is a really great golf course that is well maintained. The only negative is that you are in the flight pattern of Detroit Metro Airport so you have jet engine noise above for your entire round. But the holes are all unique, scenic and challenging! Check it out!

Nice coruse. Well kept. But tough track, so challenge yourself by going here. Bring lots of golf balls and if you decide to bring those expensive balls. Well you have been warned....unless you are good enough not to lose them.

The course layout is great. Challenging holes and a refreshing bit of scenery for a run down city like Inkster. The prices do not reflect "Inkster". It prices put more like novi.
