I have played a number of courses in the Ann Arbor Area, up north in Boyne Highands, etc... and these are some of the best greens I have played on in the past 20 years of golf... True, I have not played Augusta National, but have played numberous courses in Myrtle Beach including Barefoot Davis Love, Myrtle Beach TPC and many others including The Legends Courses, etc.... etc.... etc.... these are great greens and roll true and fast... stemping at least 11 and probably 12 to 13. Love these greens.... no wonder the course has a lot of play. Congrats to the greens superintendent, greens managers and workers, etc. Love the course. Jon Heffelfinger Thanks for a great round of fun.

Perfect place to have a outing. We had our Skilled Trades outing here last week and we were blown away at how nice the course played. The food was unbelievable steak and chicken done perfect. The staff here will go out of their way to help you with your outing. I would like to thank Jenny and Brad for helping with the golf and Gilda and team for the outstanding food service. I hope we come back next year...Thanks Lake Forest.

Lake Forest is my Course of choice for the Ann Arbor area. The front 9 is kind of bland (3.5/5), but the back 9 is very scenic and is much more difficult (5/5). They keep the course in great condition and the price is very reasonable. Nice clubhouse and ammenities too. Weve been hosting our company golf outing there for about 3 years now and everyone loves it.

This course is pretty average. Its got some links style holes and some target-golf type holes. They keep the course in pretty good shape. The rangers are very aggressive and overzealous in my opinion. In Ann Arbor, its one of the nicer public courses.

Course is challenging, but not so challenging that you become frustrated. Well maintained even with ongoing rearrangement of holes. All the staff I interacted with were super nice and very courteous. I plan on playing the course again.

If you beat the leagues of the first tee its a fun, pretty easy course with a few unique holes. Beer and liqueur is fairly over priced and food options are decent. Overall good course for the weekend warrior.

Great way to spend a Friday night. With all our rain the course was in great shape. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed a burger from the grill and the US Open after our round. Think I will repeat this soon.

Just played in an outing at Lake Forest - my first time there. We had a great time - highly recommend - the course is in great shape. Excellent food and great service too.

This course is in Ann Arbor but is on the outskirts and is a little gem. The course was in great shape and the greens were fast. I look forward to playing there again!

Best place in the world for lunch. $10 for a bucket of balls and lunch, cant beat that!. I enjoy the serenity during lunch before I go back to the madness at work.

Course is in fine shape. Do to the dry weather weve been having the rough is very hard and you get some bad and good bounces.

Looks nice but there is no enforcement of pace of play. Only friendly staff are the bar girls
