The Academy is a great little theater, with talented performers and creative direction. I always try to stop in when Im in Orleans. While I cant say that every performance is a knockout (hey, its community theater, after all), their best shows beat any other community theater productions Ive seen. I still remember their performance of the musical Chicago from a couple years back - totally outstanding in every respect! They only have a couple hundred seats, so be sure to get your ticket early.

Two years in a row I have purchased tickets to attend shows and both times the show was cancelled! Last year we went at showtime only to find out the show was cancelled and today they called me 3 hours before to tell me they were canceling. I will not purchase tickets here again

Great playhouse, we just watched a wonderful performance of Alice in Wonderland. Very nice production, perfect for kids of all ages.
