A superb piece of history just north of Baltimore, giving us a look into our history and heritage. Seems few know about the site, but it is well worth the venture out to explore. The tour of the house was done by a volunteer, who may have pronounced a few things wrong and had a few errors in the history but did a good job overall with our exploration and questions on the house, grounds, and the family. Suggest a Sunday afternoon, little in the way of crowds to hamper your experience. Be sure to check out the lower house and farm area across the street for a whole, rounded view of the families and hardships involved.

We took a tour of the mansion for Mothers Day. The mansion was beautiful, and the tea/cookies were amazing, but the tour guide ruined it for me. Whenever someone asked her a question, she was very condescending and kept repeating "I already went over this". She also picked me out to answer a question (which I did not volunteer to answer), and when I did not know the answer to her question she seemed irritated with me for not knowing. If it way for the tour guide I would give this place five stars.

Ive driven right by the entrance to Hampton House mot of my life, never realizing what it was. This plantation once covered most of northeastern Baltimore County. The operation was all about turning a considerable profit on the backs of slaves. No doubt the tour is now vastly different than it would have been when I was a child. This was a place where other plantation owners sent unruly slaves for "discipline". Im gkad the fays of sugar-coating such a life are over. Worth a visit.

Great stroll through history, excellent guides and volunteers. One of our guides got a bit too political for a historical tour, I thought they could have conveyed the same information without the constant white privilege message.

Girlfriend and I took a tour of the house and is was great. Very knowledgeable tour guide and youre not rushed from room to room. Plenty of time to look around and gawk at all the incredible decor.

Enjoyed what we could see. Visitor center & Mansion is open Thursday - Sunday 9-4. Ranger in the Mansion was very helpful and said she would contact the social media group for the updates.

Absolutely amazing national park site. This was one of the best tours we ever went on. The house is full of the history of Maryland and the tour guides are extremely knowledgeable.

One of the oldest and largest mansions in the country filled with original antique period furnishings. I would say the guided tour by adjunct professor was truly informative.

Beautiful, relaxing, historic. Feels solemn due to palpable slavery history on site, but educational and respectful of our past, good and bad.

Had family photos taken here. Very nice and new visitors center. Kinda odd that this is a National Historical park, considering its history.
