Had a bad experience here. Course overall was well kept but management could have been better. Me and another golfer get there early to practice and we asked the personnel at the club house if the driving range is open which they said it was. So we goto the shack that was open and purchased our balls and begin hitting. There were mowers in the distance and which is why we asked before hand if the range was open. So 10 minutes later another personnel tells us and another golfer that it is closed because there were mowers and that the door to the shack should have been locked. And we told the personnel the reason why and that we have been told it was opened and the door was unlocked. So we get our money back for the balls dispenced to us. The next issue was the tee time for us was scheduled for 2 people. And all of a sudden we were told 2 more people will be playing with us but I see on the schedule that there was a slot right after us was free for more golfers. So not sure why they put them with us. But they were nice people but still its nice when theres no strangers involved. And finally it just felt like people were a little too snobby at this course and we felt like we were being rushed. Overall the course was well maintained, but we will not be returning here.

I came to Maryland from a private club in Texas and had the opportunity to join many clubs but after 1 day at pine ridge (which is public), I have chosen to play here; the personnel and other workers have been extraordinary. The course is scenic; the price is very reasonable and the driving range is well done. The staff is very accommodating and I would continue my play were I not moving to another state. I hope I can find another club which Is a pleasure to be a member. Thanks to all. ( by the way, the course is challenging but fair from all tee boxes)

What else can I say that you already dont know? Well kept, greens roll so true, staff is friendly, and they have an awesome practice facility and two putting greens. Go play a course that is in great shape, reasonable price, every hole is distinct, and walk the grounds that Arnold Palmer has (home of the Eastern Open for a few years). One warning, the word has been out on this beauty for the last 15 years, so you WILL wait over your ball for a few minutes on every shot. Just watch the deer and take in the nature, time will go by faster than you think.

Course was ok. Problem was we went as a group of friends as 5 and they wouldnt let us play together because of a "course rule". Golf is about fun. So they just lost the business of all 5 of us and everyone we tell. The pace maker harassed us the entire course making sure we didnt partner up with the rest of our group. Play was slow. And people were walking out of the woods carrying fishing gear right on the course! Do yourself a favor and play at one of the other courses in the area. Employees were rude.

The course is challenging for beginners and advanced golfers. There are some very unique holes that can be a lot of fun. The grounds, cart paths, tee boxes, etc are all very well maintained. The best conditions of all the Baltimore Classic 5 courses. The driving range is great. It gives you a true sense of how far you are hitting it. I have been to too many where the driving range is an afterthought and you are hitting down (or up) a hill and not giving you a true read of your distance.

This was a really nice course, particularly for a city-owned one. The fairways and greens were well maintained, with only a few areas where the grass hadnt come back in yet. Pace of play was pretty quick, though that may have been because we had a Tuesday AM tee time. The course had some good challenging holes and the setting around Loch Raven was great! I look forward to playing this course again.

A friend once described Pine Ridge Golf course as social welfare for the middle class. In many ways he was correct. This county operated course situated on the shores of Loch Raven reservoir is a local gem. Just watch out for the herds of white tailed deer that can block fairways due to their numbers. There is a great driving range on the way in. Clubhouse includes a snack bar and Proshop.

A fair test of golf. Ample parking. Huge range. Friendly staff. Lots of doglegs. Longer par 3s. Some water carries. Plenty of sand. You can recover from a wayward tee shot unless you are really wild. Some standing water in some bunkers today but it has been raining for days and was drizzling today. Course was otherwise in very good shape.

A hidden gem in the county. Due to the reservoir that the golf course surrounds they are limited to how they can treat the course. Great place and great views and lots of nature (Deer). And if you dont like a 5 hour round + - get up early and get out early and you can be done in 3.5 hours. Or you can go join a 25k private club !

Golf was great. Although do not get food from their. I got a chicken cheese steak and it was literally a Peice of chicken breast mixed in with steak ems meat on a hotdog roll with American cheese on top. Idk if the girl was trained but it definitely seemed like she was lost behind the Grill.

Very nice course, well maintained. Huge greens without a lot of undulation but still tough to putt on. Although its only minutes out of the city the course has a nice country feel to it, no houses on the course and many of the holes have a view of the lake. I really enjoyed it

Do not go to Pine Ridge at this time - they just aerated the greens and they are in terrible shape, not worth putting on - I would just pick up and move to next hole - not sure why they choose now to conduct massive maintenance on the greens -

Some really nice views here. Fun to play early in the morning. Unfortunately they seem to pack in too many rounds during the day. The pace of play slows up and by the end of the season the course is pretty beat up. Decent value though.

Good golf course for new to moderate golfers. I took the intermediate golf class. I highly recommend their classes for the value. Rarely overcrowded. I wish the driving range had options for grass tee boxes, but that is rare in Towson.

Great scenery (on a lake)....over priced...the fairways were horrible. Location was everything - it was the only course within a reasonable distance from my hotel. Embassy Suites outside Baltimore. Fantastic practice areas.

Glad to see they survived the storm. Course normally plays 5 hours due to rangers not moving slow play along. But, last two times it has played just over 4. Hopefully they continue this control of the course.

Decent course. Fairways arent really forgiving. Theyre not narrow but theyre not wide either. The day I went they were aerating the greens my putting experience wasnt the best.

The course is very nicely maintained. It is long but not exceptionally difficult. I played on aRrival morning and the pace was good. The pro shop and restaurant are good.
