What a wonderful hidden gem! Ive been wanting to go here for a while now because my boys love fire trucks, but its a bit of drive for us. We were finally in the area and it was just amazing. It was so impressive to see all of the awesome antique and historical fire trucks that they have collected, with many of them being local trucks. Although my kids are a bit young to appreciate them, the trucks are truly impressive and I felt like I was walking through time seeing how trucks have evolved, and all the different styles. This is a great place to visit for young and old. My kids really enjoyed the discovery room with an actual fire truck they can play in, and many fire truck toys to play with. Also lots of firefighter outfits that they can dress in - they could have stayed all day. Gift shop items are reasonably priced. I even got a Groupon to go but I would pay full admission to go again, maybe when the kids are older so I can actually listen to the audio tour!

Go into the parking lot & behind the office building is the Fire Museum of Maryland. They have one of the best and most diverse collection of local fire equipment & apparatus I have ever seen. Their attention to early Baltimore blew my mind - the hand drawn and horse drawn equipment, the great Baltimore fire, how the alarm system and fire scene coordination worked, to more recent apparatus from the 1940s & 1950s. The volunteers are friendly and informative. A great afternoon learning about local history, the technology behind firefighting, and some amazing fire equipment.

Groupon experience. This fire musuem displays the history of how the fire engine was invented and all of the improvements decades. History of the fire bell, dispatch, ladders, fire hoses, apparatus and how dangerous fire can be. They have several engines on display, videos and interactive displays. Really cool place to learn about our fire department. Playroom for children, gift shop and special events held there. Cool place to visit. No steps and handicap accessible. Plenty of parking. Its a self guided tour.

Really love this place, as did my firefighter. :) Had a really good time talking with Tom today and listening to him and my fiancé exchange stories upon stories of calls they made. Really well maintained, I love seeing all the old workings of the apparatuses. Would recommend.

I didnt know this place was there. Its behind some other shops. Wonderful people working there who were knowledgeable and patient. The kids were thrilled with the play area. My husband and I were fascinated by all the fire apparatus from across time. Must see!!

We went on a Fri at 11 when they had story time. After that, the kids were able to play in the play room. If a kid loves firetrucks, this is highly enjoyable, but its a bit small and might get boring quickly for other kids.

I guess this place is especially interesting for younger children but it kept me entertained during the whole tour as well. Thank you for the experience!
