Visited Detour for a wine tasting with my girlfriend and was very pleasantly surprised with the facility, staff, and the wine. We sampled about 8 different wines and enjoyed nearly all of them. Were relatively new wine drinkers, but they were very helpful and friendly about it. The tasting room was modern, clean, and comfortable. The pricing for samples was very reasonable, and its nice that you pay and get tokens, and each wine costs a certain number of tokens - rather than one set sampling price for X number of wines (as many other wineries do). This way if you arent sampling the expensive ice wines and ports, you arent getting charged for them. We ended up buying several bottles and a few bricks of local cheese that they had for sale. They also had tables and games for the young ones. Were already looking forward to our next visit once the weather warms up some.

Well - dont bother!! I drove an hour to try their wine, arrived at 4:35 on a Thursday (they are supposed to be open until 5). They had a note on the door to call and they would be right down. I called three times and text - the second time I called I could hear the odd ring so I know the person was on the other line! When I called again they didnt answer! Very unprofessional and unnecessary. I guess they didnt want to sell a case or two!

Very unprofessional--we came during business hours, finding a sign that said to call for service in the tasting room. I tried both numbers listed multiple times, and all I got was voicemail. Dont waste your time.

We visited the winery yesterday. I have to say we really enjoyed the stop! They have a lovely tasting room, our host was fun and informative. I really appreciated the wines and left with 4 bottles.
