The Tennessee Valley Winery is a delightful addition to our area. Easily accessible from exit 76 on I-75, it is Tennessees oldest operating winery, and produces an impressive number of decorated and recognized wines. Plus - the owner and his sister are easy hosts for their many musical and even food-oriented events throughout the seasons.

My husband stopped here first on our tour of wineries in east Tennessee. Every winery we visited after this one was measured against TN Velley Winery - the wine maker here knows his stuff! We like the fruit wines so thats all we tasted. His Blackberry was very unique and not syurp-y. His Muscadine was the best.

Absolutely love this winery!! The tasting room is small but functional. John and his knowledgeable employees make a nice variety of wines and offer free tastings. In addition, they have space for 2 small RV s to park overnight if there is no entertainment that night. Easy to find from I-40 but remarkably quiet.

I served their Country Red wine at my wedding and it now has a cult following by my friends and family. Stop by for a tasting..but be prepared to want to buy a truckload. Dont worry, they give discounts on the more you buy. The staff here is always kind and helpful. Do yourself a favor and check them out!

Unique applications of some very common varietals. I rarely like fruit wines, but theirs were exceptional. The Wild Cherry was especially interesting -- the nose and pallet both have smokey qualities of Scotch. Paulette was wonderfully colorful and knowledgeable.

Quite literally the ONLY wine that I drink. The Pink Muscadine is my favorite. My husband has had wine from all over the world and hes always said that TVW is the best. His recommendation is the Private Reserve, especially if you like red...
