We needed a room for a couple of nights while my son was in the hospital. The hotel has been remodeled since I was last inside it, and I was pleased. The common areas were attractive. Our room was just right. That is to say it was spacious, clean, and welcoming. The bed was soft and slept well. The pillows were to my taste and the comforter was soft. I think the love seat in the room would convert to a sleeper, but I did not try it out. On the tech side, ample ports/outlets were supplied for charging. I did not try the internet, but it looked easy enough to access. The television was adequate with a simple channel listing card and clear picture. The bathroom did not have offer a tub, but the shower was tiled floor to ceiling. I probably would not have used the bathtub anyway unless it was a standalone tub. My wife checked in. Im not sure how that went. Checking out was simple as you would expect. Overall, I was pleased. This hotel remains in a convenient location. It has a good number of amenities that we did not have time to experience. My wife and I felt comfortable coming in and out even later in the evening. I would recommend it without hesitation. We may come back under a different circumstances just to get away for a couple of days, shop, and relax.

The Louisville Marriot East is absolutely amazing. Upon entry into this hotel, you will see the Bourbon theme carried throughout the hotel. This place is literally equipped with its own bourbon trail experience, as it carries 200 different types of bourbon. The staff and service are absolutely amazing, and will make sure that your stay is a pleasant one. They have all the bells and whistles, a indoor pool, hot tub, a gym and a patio with seating and a firepit. The rooms are spacious and the beds and pillows offer comfortable sleep throughout the night. The rooms come with hair dryers, makeup mirrors, mini fridges and a walk in shower. The amazing horse photos add an extra touch that helps to remind guests that we are in the home of the Kentucky Derby! The room also includes 42 inch tvs and bathrobes. Dining and drinks can be enjoyed at Charrd, which has some excellent offerings, and the hotel has a breakfast buffet to feed hungry bellies in the morning. If needed, concierge service is available also. I will definitely be returning. Thanks Louisville Marriot East!

Check In was easy. Room clean and well appointed. However went to to take shower in the morning and it didnt work. Maintenance showed up immediately but could not be fixed then. Front desk suggested showering in different room but room was one floor above and then keys didnt work elevator. Difficulties were handled promptly and graciously. We were offered a discount or free night stay and personally seated by the hotel manager at the restaurant for a complimentary lunch. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends. In these days of deteriorating customer service the hotels approach was refreshing and outstanding.

Front desk is very friendly and attentive. The room I was in was either near a train (?) Or had a friend elevator nearby. I had to get used to a semi-regular rumble outside. It was a nice and clean room though. Sadly I didnt get a chance to actually leave the hotel since I was at a workshop, but at least the room service food was good. Sadly there was a dessert cocktail (derby ency) that was taken off the menu....except on my room copy. But not their fault. Banquets and AV were also very attentive for the meeting I attended. Lunch was meh but I dont go to meetings for the lunch...even if theyre already paid for!

Very nice hotel and the rooms are generously sized. That was one of the most comfortable beds Ive ever slept in but the pillows were pretty flat. Was a little disappointed that there was only a shower stall and no tub (i was looking forward to soaking after a busy day). The app makes check in and out very easy and helps avoid the rush. Overall I would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family. The only downside was it was our honeymoon and I requested a room with a view, get to the room open the curtains and all I can see is the roof and air conditioning unit.

This is a beautiful, modern hotel with a lively restaurant/bar, full business center, and upscale rooms. I would have given it five stars if it wasnt for the subpar service at check-in. The woman working the late night shift at the front desk seemed bothered to get up from her chair in the bar area, where she was watching a rerun of Martin, to walk over and check us in. She didnt smile, welcome us, or thank us for being frequent Marriott guests. It was a not-so-friendly first impression for a Marriott that would have otherwise received a perfect review.

It was a clean hotel and the staff was nice however the continental breakfast offered was ridiculous. It was nothing but sweet breads and sweet cereals on one small table. I have two small children who need a more substantial breakfast. I ended up having to take them elsewhere to eat. Some sort of breakfast item like eggs should be served. After driving 16 hours to end up with a breakfast like that is not acceptable. Seeing as how I stay in Louisville twice a year I will avoid staying here again. At least the smaller hotels give a better breakfast.

I spent one night here for a business conference and was very pleased with my stay. The hotel was beautiful and my room was immaculate. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel also catered our meetings and the food was great. The location is outside of downtown, so we didnt have any traffic or parking issues, however, the area seems to be in an industrial park... very little greenery and nowhere to walk outside. On the other hand, the hotel does have a full gym and pool for anyone feeling restless. Overall Id definitely recommend it!

Beautiful hotel; friendly and helpful staff; spacious, well-kept rooms. My husband and I stayed two nights while we were in Kentucky to travel the Bourbon Trail. My only complaint was that after a long day out on Saturday, when we went down to relax in the whirlpool at about 9:30 p.m. only to find the pool/whirlpool area filled with children. Now I understand that people take their kids to enjoy the pool but I really think that it would be nice for the pool area to be for ages 18 and over after 9 p.m. Other than that, an absolutely lovely stay!

We got two noise complaints when we stayed here, which is understandable when youre playing a Mario Kart 64 drinking game and destroying fools in Magic the Gathering. The courtesy officer was polite but firm in his dealings with us. My complaint is with the people that complained on us. Its like the old saying goes, "If you dont like the music, get out of the fryer." The hotel was straight up clown though. Would stay here again.

I was there for a group meeting, the hotel itself is beautiful and clean, but we had lunch in the restaurant and it took forever and ever to get our food and then we had to chase down the waitress to get our bill and when she finally came back to get our payment we never saw her again so we had to go find her again to retrieve our cards. All of our friends at other tables had the same problem, hours to get our food..
