Ive played a lot of golf. Good courses, bad courses and inbetween. Without a doubt, this course is in the worst condition of any Ive ever played. The fairways are full of dandelions, clovers, and all different varieties of weeds. There also seems to be some sort of disease causing brown dead circles all over the fairways. If you hit one in the middle of the fairway, Id say you have less than a 50/50 shot of getting a decent lie. The tee boxes are gnarley and unkept. The sand traps are basically mud, and clearly havent been worked on in quite some time. The rough is a jungle of different kinds of weeds, ant hills and bad lies. Ant hills are also in abundance on all the greens. Some of the ant mountains are quite majestic looking, but not much fun to be constantly cleaning off the greens. Trust me. Im not some snobby got to have a perfect course to play on kinda guy. I sometimes play at the local park district course and its in 1,000x better shape than this place. For $50 a round, youve got to expect more than this. At any price, it is just not a course that is enjoyable to play.

Played Maywood yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. The pro shop staff is top notch. The practice range and putting green are perfect. The golf course layout is fun and challenging. The condition of the golf course is excellent but a few of the bunkers are still being renovated and are being played as ground-under-repair. The greens roll pure. One recommendation is a few signs are needed to help navigating between certain holes. Perhaps most importantly for the group I was with, the selection of beers offered in the clubhouse is excellent.

The course is in good condition. The fairways are good and the greens are even better. The rough wasnt bad but some areas were higher than others. Several bunkers were unplayable so you will have to treat them as ground under repair. The greens were rolling true, about a 7 or 8 on the stemp meter. The break on putts were not crazy so what you see is what you get. Play was a little slow due to a tournament I played behind. I dont think the course is $50 course, I would say $40 at best. But if you dont mind the extra $10, you wont be disappointed. Enjoy!

Price has been raised to $50 on the weekend. No longer have GPS on the golf cart in the majority of greens were in bad shape. The rough is terrible its a type of crabgrass on hard ground. Only two positives are the staff is really friendly and the fairways are nice.

Maywood Golf Course on its way back to its former Premier status. Tees, fairways and greens are in great shape. Bunker renovations 80% completed. Course is challenging. Hats off to the greens keeping staff, as well as management, for their efforts.

Traps are in bad condition.. many unplayable...all should be "ground under repair" Several fairways very thin.. dead spots from spot killing weeds. Roughs are too high.. Hope it comes around before the fall Bourbon Festival..

The course is in really bad shape. The rough is high crabgrass, and many dead areas on the greens.
